The 2015 Bookish Resolutions Challenge hosted by A Reader Lives A Thousand Lives and Because Reading is Better Than Real Life.
Every month on the 30th I will be doing my recap of that month. You can check out my goal post here. I finished all my goals, beside the first one which I failed early this year already. So overal I am really happy with how I did with this challenge and am hoping I wil do just as well next year!
December Recap
Accept no more than 1 book with a deadlines each month.I failed this one in february already. Even though I fail this goal in the first few months I am doing better not accepting as many deadline books anymore.- Read at least 3 (cozy) mysteries. Made this goal as well! I got into the cozy mystery books this month and read 4 cozy mysteries and 3 mysteries so far this year. Below the books I read for this goal:
- Visions by Kelley Armstrong
- Deceptions (Cainsville #3) by Kelley Armstrong
- A Spark of Justice by J.D. Hawkins
- Pane and Suffering (A Webb’s Glass Shop Mystery #1) by Cheryl Hollon
- Flipped for Murder (Country Store Mysteries #1) by Maddie Day
- Death Crashes the Party (A Liv And Di In Dixie Mystery #1) by Vicky Fee
- Amanda Lester and the Pink Sugar Conspiracy by Paula Berinstein
- Murder at Redwood Cove (Redwood Cove #1) by Janet Finsilver
Yarned and Dangerous (Tangled Web Mystery #1) by Sadie Hartwell
- Read at least 3 historical romances. Made it! I even read 6 historical romance so far and one DNF. Links to the books I read for this challenge are below:
- The Mine by John Heldt. It’s actually a bit of a crossover book with time travel and historical romance elements, but I thought the historical romance elements where prominent enough to count it as historical romance.
- In for a Penny by Rose Lerner, which was a lot of fun.
- Palace Secrets by Ravyn Rayne, which was okay and didn’t have much focus on the historical aspect.
- A Lady’s Guide to Skirting Scandal (The Lords of Worth #2.5) by Kelly Bowen, was fun and original and I’ll be reading more of this author her books.
- Immersed (The Clockwork Siren #1) by Katie Hayoz, this was one was very enjoyable. Great historical setting!
- Submerged (The Clockwork Siren #2) by Katie Hayoz, enjoyed this one, but the first book was better.
- Read at least 20 review books this year. I read 76 review books so far this year, totally powned this goal!
- Organize at least 30 tours with Lola’s Blog Tours. Yay reached this goal! I organized 35 tours this year!
Wow! You did great this year! Congratulations on hitting all of your goals. 🙂

I try not to take too many books with deadlines too. It is all I can do to keep up with the TBR, never mind the pressure to read everything before it comes out.

I did well most months, but setting a monthly goal proved too much especially with multiple deadline books in the first few months. This January will be the same, I already have 3 deadlines for the first two months and probably will do well the rest of the year. It’s nice not to have too many books with deadlines as they can stress me out.
Congratulations on being so productive, Lola! I’m so impressed. I can’t even keep up with my book club, which reads one book a month. (That’s probably because I go off and read other stuff though.)
I don’t think I would do well with a book club book either as I probably would feel like reaidng another book instead of that one once I would have to read it. I like my freedom when it comes to challenges. Most are pretty broad and easy to reach and as I have a whole year it makes it easier to reahc them.
Aand even then I was sure I was going to fail that mystery challenge until the last few months when I suddenly got into the cozy mystery genre and read a lot of books in that genre. I always like discovering new genres so I am glad I set those goals for myself.

I can’t believe how fast you read!
I wish I read faster. I only read about two books a week usually and that’s because I read two of them at the same time. Then again there are bloggers who can read a book a day, so compared to that I always feel like a slow reader.
