sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

Happy Christmas everyone! I hope you all have a lovely day!

This week was a busy and eventful week with preparations for Christmas, work and finishing up some assistant work. Two new tours went live on Lola’s Blog Tours this week. I had enough work to keep me busy this week among the other things that happened this week.

On Wednesday we visited a nearby city and did most of our Christmas shopping. There also was this small Christmas market, which was fun to see. After that we stopped by my sister’s for dinner. We gave my sister her Christmas present which she put under their tree, but she did unpack the toy and candies we got for her cat Miku. We got two Lush (they sell soaps and such) presents from her to take home and put them under our tree here. The presents smell delicious, lol. It was a busy, but fun day.

And I won a giveaway by the awesome Veronica Scott! I won one of her books in e-format and a mug with two of the pets from her short story in Pets in Space. I will make a picture once it arrives here :). I also got some Christmas money from my grandma and I already bought a few games and books with it.

Picture of the Week

Christmas-Cookie
I found this Christmas Cookie while grocery shopping this week and it looked so good, so I had to buy some. They tasted very good! They were chocolate cookies with M&M’s in Christmas colors in it.

What did I read this week?

Death of a Toy SoldierThe Royal Trade

Death of a Toy Soldier was such a fun read and it even took place around Christmas time, which was fun. I am already looking forward to book 2! The Royal Trade was a fun and short read.

    • It was fun to visit the Christmas market and visit my sister. The cookies were really good, I am kinda hoping they still sell them next week, so i can buy another one.

  1. Enjoy your book win…and all the other goodies you will find today.

Great cookie, and that reminds me of how much I gorged on cookies last week. Today it’s eggnog…and leftovers from my daughter’s dinner last night.

From your menu, I paused at soup with French bread, and gave a sigh…I’m a big fan of soups and bread!

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year…and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

    • Thanks! The cookie was really good.

I usually eat soup with french bread once every week, it makes for such a good meal and it’s easy to prepare as I usually just buy a bag of soup and warm that up. It’s nice to make something easy once a week.

    • Lol, seems our reading is coordinated again this week. We had fun at the Christmas market. The soaps are still in their boxes in the living room, but I do keep smelling them from time to time when I walk by, which is nice.

  2. Merry Christmas!! Hope you have a fabulous holiday. It’s nice sometimes to go out of town to shop, and the Christmas market sounds fun. Glad you had a nice week!

    Congrats on the giveaway.

Nice freebies too. Can’t wait too see your favorites of the year!

    • It was a nice day out, but also quite tiring. I always like seeing Christmas markets this time of the year, it really gets me into the Christmas spirit even though it was just a small Christmas market.

The favorites post was so hard to narrow down. Normally I just list my 5 stars, but I only had 3 books that got a 5 star this year, so I wanted to list more and picked some of my favorite 4 stars. I think I ended up listing more than 20 books.

    • Our lush presents are still under the tree, they smell so nicely. Every time I walk past I smell a whiff of Lush. We got three bath bombs and a soap I think. Looking forward to try them out!

  3. Happy holidays, I hope you had a good one 🙂 I love reading what you have cooked this week, I have always wanted to mention that in my sunday posts but I don’t cook yet LOL. thanks for sharing!
