sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This week went a lot smoother than last week. I am getting more used to the new schedule and that’s helped a lot. My boyfriend is settling into his new job and that’s going well so far. It still was a busy week as I had to catch up on some work from last week and had a dentist visit.

I had to visit the dentist this week (again). This time to get my final crown. The temporary crown was removed and the final one was inserted. I am still getting used to it, but glad this is finally resolved.

The start of this week was some catching up on work. I also got a good amount of assistant work done this week and did some of the usual tour work. I also did a bunch of scheduling social media posts for my current tour as I had fallen behind with that.

What did I read this week?

The Red ZoneWitches, Spiders, and Schemes

Both of these were later books in series I already started and both were great reads :).

My current reads
I am still reading Silver Dawn Afire and it continues to be really good. I like seeing where the plot takes and I really grown to be invested in the two main characters.
I just started reading The One and Only Crystal Druid and can’t say much about it. I am excited for a new series set in this world, but am not sure about the main character so far. The tone seems a bit darker/ rougher than the other series.
My re-read of S.J. Pajonas’ Flyght series continues and I am making good progress with Lost Flyght. I really love this series and it’s been so fun to re-read it, The AI narration is pleasant to listen to and I would happily listen to more AI narrated books if that means more books are available in audio.

This week I blogged about:

Review: Salted Caramel Sorcery by H.Y. Hanna
Review: Unexpected Demands by Kaje Harper
Review: I Promise You by Jordan Ford

  1. Glad this week went a lot smoother and you got your final crown in. I’ve only had to have one so far and I was so relieved when the final crown was in and no more worries about the temp falling out. Reading seems to be going great, too.

    Have a good week, Lola!

    • I really liked the Crystal Druid at first, but like you found him less interesting/ likable as the series progressed. I do like the idea of learning more about him here. For me this book was my least favorite so far, but that’s because I didn’t like the main character and romance as much. The world and stories are awesome as usual.

    • I hope you’re doing better in another week. I really needed a few weeks to really get used to the new schedule, but luckily it’s going better now.
