The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This week was again quite busy, but I got a lot done, so that’s good. A few meh moments again, some busy and tiring moments and some good ones too. I had some errands I needed to run that took up some time. It was again a busy week with work with extra assistant work hours that I fit in. And I even fit in some free time.
On Monday I took most of the day off, not because I didn’t have plenty work to do, but because I really needed some time off after the last two busy weeks. It was great to take a day off and just relax, I went out for a walk with my boyfriend in a nearby forest and after that played some games.
The rest of the book was mostly work with some reading and gaming fit in where I could. I did quite some hours of assistant work and a bit of tour work. I didn’t get all my work done for this week, but it was a pretty productive week all in all. I also went outside again for some walks.
I prepped some dough yesterday for a new cookies recipe I want to try out today that I hope will turn out well. I also took some pictures of yesterdays dinner as I realized I still haven’t added that to the blog. So I hope to get that recipe written and scheduled soon.
What did I read this week?
I manged to finish two books this week. One fiction and one non-fiction. Don’t Cheat Me was a great sequel and I had fun reading it. I like the main character and how the harem is developing so far, it’s quite the slow burn romance, which works great here. Mindfulness and Meditation was an informative book, but it was a bit dry to read like a textbook. I tried out some new meditation techniques thanks to the book and learned some new techniques and way to incorporate mindfulness, so all in all I still call it a win.
What did I cook for dinner this week?
- Spinach Pasta Sauce
- Spiced Pointed Cabbage
- Tortilla wraps with sweet potato mash, spinach and veggie nuggets

That sounds like a well-balanced week, Lola! You were able to do a bit of everything and it was good to have a day off to recharge the batteries. Too bad the meditation book was a little dry, but good that you got to try out a few of the lessons.
Yay for keeping on top of the new release books.
Have a good week, Lola!

It was a pretty well balanced week. I am glad I took the day off as I really needed that. The meditation book had some good info, it was just too bad it was just a dry read.
Cookies! I hope the cookies came out good. It’s so hot here now I don’t want to go for walks anymore.

The cookies turned out great :). I plan to do a recipe post for them sometime in the future.
It’s not too warm here yet, but next week it’s supposed to get very warm, so not sure if I can do out for walks then.
I haven’t written a Sunday Post this week but thought I’d still visit some friendly bloggers 😉
I think that you had a good balance there, Lola. It’s healthy to take time out for yourself to recharge your batteries and to spend quality time with those you love.
I hope you have a great week and enjoy your reads, Lola.

Thanks for stopping by! It’s hard sometimes to find that balance and I am really glad I took that day off to recharge.
Taking time off is always great mentally, physically, emotionally. Just for everything. Your week sounds so relaxing and fun! I love trying new recipes!

I agree taking time off is really good for your health. I am glad I took a day off. I also enjoy trying new recipes 🙂
Glad you took some time for yourself! Hope this week is a great one for you.
Thanks!
Spellbound looks intriguing. It looks like you had a well-balanced week. I really need to motive myself to get out and walk. I am not sure if it’s hormonal or outside forces but I have been feeling melancholy or depressed. I hope the cookie dough is successful! Yum.

I am currently reading Spellbound and it’s really good!
It’s hard to find the motivation to walk sometimes, but it does wonders for my mood. And now that it’s a routine it’s easier to go out even when I don’t feel like it. I hope you’re feeling better soon. I had a similar mood earlier this year and it’s so hard to shake.
The cookies turned out great. I plan to post the recipe sometime on my blog.
Glad your week was productive and that you even got some free time 🙂 Spellbound looks interesting!
Spellbound is really good so far! It might still be up on Netgalley if you want to request it.
Spinich Pasta Sauce sounds yummy! I don’t blame you for taking a sudden day off. Sometimes we just need a day to get our feet under us and remember why life is worth all the hassle. ❤️

The spinach pasta sauce is really good :). I really needed the day off, even tough it made the rest of the week busier, the day off was good for me.
Sometimes you just have to take time off for yourself! I’m glad you had a nice, relaxing Monday.

I am really glad I took the day off as it was nice to just relax and not work for a day.
