The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This was a good week mostly. I mentioned the last two weeks I felt pretty tired, but luckily this week I felt a lot better. It was a productive week, I did a lot of assistant work and started on the work for my two new authors as well. I also sent out a media kit for next week’s tour and had a bookstagram blitz end and a book blitz start. Some small work focus related changes that I am curious to see how it will all work out in the end.
I finished a jigsaw puzzle this week, one featuring Central Park in New York, it was a fun puzzle to make with lots of different colors and parts. Now I am starting a Christmas cartoon themed one, which has lots of white and green and it’s a pretty tough one so far. I also bought some new puzzles. I baked some cookies again and so far am keeping up with baking one thing every week. I am still having computer troubles sadly, which is very annoying. But besides that it was a pretty good week.
And as January is over I decided to show you some of my January reading stats, I am trying out a slightly different format than last year to see how this works. Let me know what you think of it!

January was a pretty good reading month, lots of great books and I am doing pretty well with my goals of balancing my review books and reading more RH and MM.
What did I read this week?
Priestess Awakened was a lot of fun Fantasy Romance read. The plot line might seem a bit too much at first, but the author handled the topic very well and I liked how e got to know the characters pretty well and each had their own personality. I am looking forward to book 2. The Bite was one of the best books in this series so far, thigns are heating up and things get revealed and I like the direction things are going. Although I am not a fan of the serial format.
What did I cook for dinner this week?
- Tomato Pasta Sauce with gnocchi
- Fried Rice with noodles instead of rice
- Mashed Potatoes with Sauerkraut and Lentils

Book Haul:
I received The Bite for review and already read the book. Vested Interest was only 99cents and it sounded pretty good, there aren’t many contemporary romance reverse harem books out there yet. So i am curious how this one is.
Good to hear that you are feeling more energetic and didn’t get sick. Yay for plenty of work for your business and finishing a puzzle.
Nice spread for your January reading. I like the categories you used. I’ve been trying to think of what I want to put in my monthly recap numbers so I might steal a few of these. 🙂 Way to go on reading books that fit your 2018 reading goals.
Have a great February, Lola!

It was a good week and I am glad I didn’t get sick.
Go ahead and use some of those categories :). I’ve been figuring out a way to present the stats a bit more clearly than i did last year and so far I like this set-up.
Sorry to hear about the computer troubles. 🙁 but your Christmas cartoon puzzle sounds fun. I imagine it’s relaxing to do those. I haven’t done a puzzle in ages??
Glad you had a good week! 11 books is great, and The Reprisal looks awesome (I love all the covers for that series, which I think I say every time I see ’em lol)!

I think I’ll have to invest in a new computer later this year as the computer troubles are really annoying. The puzzle is a fun one so far, but a bit difficult too. I really like puzzling, but I didn’t pick up a puzzle for years and now I am suddenly back to it.
I hope you pick up that series! The covers are great and the books are really good too :). I think you might enjoy them.
Glad to hear that you’re feeling better. I’m a fan of puzzles too. Those that are mostly a color or two are hard. I’ve gotten to where I like using a puzzle app on my iPad. It is great for flights or other times when you can’t set up a real life puzzle.

Yeah this puzzle is going to be a tough one I think, but it does look very festive and Christmassy :). I didn’t realize they had puzzle apps, that sounds pretty neat.
Glad you are feeling a lot better. That tired feeling is no fun and can really put a damper on productivity.
I really want to do puzzles again, they used to be so fun and relaxing.
Priestess Awakened looks so good, I just added it to my TBR and they have it for KU so I might grab it after COYER is over.
You just reminded me I wanted to make cookies today. lol
I hope your week is AMAZING, Lola ! Happy Reading!

I am happy I am feeling a lot better this week. And I am really enjoying my puzzles :). They are so much fun to do.
Priestess Awakened was really good. It’s a great steamy Fantasy Romance read. Luckily book 2 should be released in March so I can continue the series.
I hope you get around to making some cookies today!
You had a great January for reading! I’m excited to see that THE DAYDREAMER DETECTIVE RETURNS A FAVOR was your favorite book for the month. 🙂 Thank you!

I really like puzzling, I got a few new puzzles for Christmas and bought a few myself as well, so i hope to work through those in the next few months. That’s great to hear you read so many books in January 🙂
Wow, you got a lot of reading done. Sorry about the computer trouble. That’s annoying. Have a great February!

It was a great reading month indeed :). And I am glad I am feeling better now.
I loved putting together puzzles, the bigger the better. You make me want to buy some but I have a feeling my dogs won’t let me be great. 🙂
Hope you have a great week!

I usually stick to the 1000 pieces puzzles, I find that a nice size and it doens’t take up too much room. That might be difficult to make one with dogs around, but maybe you can cover it or use one of those puzzle rolling mats so you can move the puzzle to somewhere else when you’re not working on it?
I’m glad you had a good week! And being productive is always nice. Also, way to go reading 11 books in January! I think I made it to 10 before the month was over. I think this month I won’t be able to read that many. LOL. 😛
