The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
What a week. This week started pretty good, but then the second half of the week was not good. I had more energy and got a bunch of various things done. One of the highlights was finally fixing our bathroom sink that wasn’t draining properly. I took it apart as far as I could and figured out were the problem was, cleaned it all and put it back together. It works great now.
I have been struggling with an infected toe for a month now and finally contacted the doctor and got some antibiotics to take care of it as well as an ointment. Unfortunately I managed to get a whole bunch of side effects and felt pretty sick and miserable. Luckily the doctor told me I could stop with the antibiotics and just use the ointment.
Then ofcourse I had to go to a dentist check up while feeling miserable from the antibiotics and somehow made it through that, but I have two cavities and have to go back another time to get those fixed.
We also had to deal with some renovation noise as they are working on fixing/ painting up the outside of our complex. I can’t believe they still aren’t done with this all, it’s been going on way too long and their planning was to be done late last year and instead they are still not done.
There were some mosquitos in our house this week as we haven’t gotten around to getting new mosquito netting for our windows yet and it’s been warm so we wanted them open a bit. Not fun, although luckily there were only a few so far.
And I found out I did make a small mistake with my taxes and that’s something I can’t resolve for last year, but can do for this year. So hopefully that will still make a difference for next year, so that’s good news. This stuff is so complicated.
I started a new prooflistening book, did some social media scheduling and worked on some formatting for the same author. I had hoped to do more work, but all the other things this week got in the way.
What did I read this week?
This week I blogged about:
– Review: Clawing at the Corral by Beth Dolgner
– Review: Out of Circulation by Miranda James
– Review: Heart of Blood and Ice by Laura Greenwood
– Review: The Coharie Beach Café 4 by Casey Dawes
What to expect next week on the blog:

– Review: Winter Tales From Cozy Vales 2
– Review: The Tea Witch’s Promise by Laura Greenwood and Arizona Tape
Sorry about your foot, that sounds painful and med side effects are the worst. Glad the doctor let you stop them and had a alternate plan.
We have had some issues with the house lately and its been such a bother. We have to pay for our taxes and I am hoping to not make that mistake again this year. Going to need to adjust a few things to avoid it.
I hope this week is better for you and just totally amazing! Happy Reading! xo
The side effects from the medicine were really bad and I am still dealing with some of that now. I am glad I could stop with them and just continue with the ointment which seems to be working well.
Sorry to hear you had some house issues, that’s so stressful. And taxes are always so confusing, I am glad i figured things out so next year should be better. I hope you can adjust those things so you don’t have to pay taxes.
My daughter had a ingrown toe and went through some of the same with anitbiotics and ointment but ended up having to have it fixed. I have dabbled in plumbing myself but more for clogs. Good job on doing it yourself.

Sorry to hear your daughter also went through some of that with her ingrown toe. I think the ointment is working well, but that antibiotics really wasn’t good for my body.
I was so glad I could resolve the sink issue myself as this one was relatively easy to take apart.
Wow, it all hit at once for you with the infected foot, dental appointment, stopped up sink, and renovations. Way to go getting the sink draining again and several projects with your work.
Hopefully, this week will be better, Lola!
It really was a lot to deal with this week. I was so glad to get the dink draining again and still got some work done.
I hope your toe is better. That’s never fun. I hate going to the dentist. I hope you have a good week.
My toe is starting to do a bit better, I hope it’s fully healed soon. I hate going to the dentist and am annoyed I have to go back there soon.
