My Review

I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

I enjoyed the first 3 parts of this series and book 4 was just as good. Caitlin’s sister Emily arrived at the end of book 3 with some shocking news and it was interesting to see that play out. I enjoyed seeing more of Emily. And I liked how Caitlin and Emily interacted with each other in this book, moving past their standard interactions and growing closer.

There is more of the mystery surrounding Sandra and why she left Caitlin the café as well. There are some interesting developments there as Caitlin finds out some things from reading Sandra’s journal and is determined to find out more. There’s also more about the missing recipe book and some clues about what’s going on there.

On top of that there is more romance and I like seeing Greg and Caitlin grow closer. I also liked seeing how Caitlin’s best friend Regan’s romance with Ed is progressing. There are some nice scenes around town and it’s clear it’s starting to feel like home for Caitlin and Regan. This book moved all the plot lines and character related plot lines forward and it made for an exciting read.

The ending ends on quite the reveal and I am excited to find out what this means and how Caitlin will react to this. I had my predictions about something and I think the next book will show whether those are true.

To summarize: There’s plenty going on in this book and it made for an exciting read. I liked seeing more about Emily and how Caitlin and Emily interacted in this book and grew closer. The plot lines surrounding Sandra and recipe book mystery both make progress. Then there’s the character related plot lines with Caitlin and her best friend growing to enjoy it in this town and both their romances moving forward. The ending ends on an exciting twist and I hope to start the next book soon.
