sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This week was a bit of a mixed one. It started off with some good days that felt productive and I got a lot done. Then on Wednesday we found out something got spilled in our fridge and had gotten moldy, so we had to clean our fridge and had to throw away some vegetables which were meant to be used for dinner, I had to improvise and used some different ingredients. Then on Thursday I got another migraine, this was a really bad one and my new meds didn’t seem to work nearly as good as last time. I’ll have to give it a try with a few more migraines to see how well they work and else I have to go back to the doctor. So those last few days I didn’t get a lot done. I think it’s slowly going away now luckily, but it was a tough few days.

This was the last week of the month, so there were some end of month tasks I needed to get done. I finished up some assistant work tasks and moved a few other things to next week as due to the migraine I didn’t get everything done. I sent out 3 media kits for tours starting next week and I had 3 tours running this week as well that I organized.

What did I read this week?

A Daisy for the Single DadTwo Against the Stars

I finished two great reads this week. A Daisy for the Single Dad was a great grumpy sunshine romance book with likable and realistic characters. And it was fun to see more of the previous main characters as well.
Then I was in the mood for a scifi romance book and picked up Two Against the Stars which was great too. I like reading about these alien empaths and here another alien empath escaped her handler and finds love.

This week I blogged about:

Review: Christmas Scarf Murder by Carlene O’Connor, Maddie Day and Peggy Ehrhart
Review: The Unbreakable Bladesong Druid by Annette Marie

  1. Of all the household chores, deep cleaning a refrigerator is one of my least liked. And, on top of that a migraine. Too bad about having to delay work tasks. Hopefully this week will go much better. Glad you read a couple good ones.

    Have a good week, Lola!

    • I rarely clean the refrigerator so it wasn’t definitely necessary, but not fun. And the migraine was a really bad one this time unfortunately :(. This week was a bit better.

    • Migraines are really tough, I can hardly do anything when I have one and this was a bad one even compared to some of my other migraines. At least my books were good 🙂

    • I’ll have to try these medicines a few times before I know if they work and if not it’s back to the doctor. I hope I can find something that works as these migraines are awful and last long too.
