sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This was an okay week. I had some meh moments and a headache, but overall it was a decent week. We had some beautiful spring weather this week and I went outside for a short walk almost every day. I think going outside more often is helping with the funk, so that’s good.

Tuesday evening my sister came to visit. She bought some lemon meringue pie with her, which was great. It was a fun visit. On Friday we visited my mom and her husband at their new house and stayed for dinner. The food was good and we had fun catching up and talking.

I did some hours of assistant work and some smaller tasks for Lola’s Blog Tours. My awesome designed e-mailed me the new cover reveal graphic draft for on Lola’s Blog Tours and it looks awesome. Let’s hope I get a new cover reveal soon, so I can show it off.

I finished an audiobook and an ebook this week and did some gaming too. Besides that there isn’t much to tell actually. Oh almost forgot I also won a 5$ Amazon gift card this week, which is always great and I bought a book that was on my wishlist with it.

What did I read this week?

Love, Lies and Hocus Pocus Revelations audioThe Lion Mistress Book 2

I really enjoyed the audio edition of Love, Lies and Hocus Pocus Revelations, this is a re-read for me. I love this series and it’s great to be able to re-read them now in audio. The narration is excellent and I like how the narrator handles all the voices. The Lion Mistress Book 2 was a great read too and I really enjoyed it. It’s a well done fantasy romance book with a strong storyline and an awesome polyamory romance with 3 characters who obviously care about one another.

What did I cook for dinner this week?

Review: Veritas by Kelly St Clare
Review: Uncommon Ground by Kelly Jensen
Review: Face of the Wave by Jordan Ford

What to expect next week on the blog:

– Review: Inouye by J.C Hay

Purple HazeBat Wings, Rings and Apron Strings

Purple Haze is the second Aliens in New York book, which I got for review from the author. Book 1 was great, so I hope book 2 is just as good. Bat Wings, Rings and Apron Strings I bought with my Amazon gift card money that I won. It’s the 10th and last book in this series, I still have to read the last 2 books, but wanted to make sure I had a copy of this one already.

How’s the weather where you live?

  1. I feel better when I can get outside in the fresh air and sunshine for walks, too. Glad you got to visit with your family a few times. Now, that is a good sister to bring over a pie to share. πŸ™‚
Neat that you’re getting new graphics.
Yay for a GC and a fun book purchase. I’m glad the re-read/listen for Love Lies and Hocus Pocus series is going well.

    Have a good week, Lola!

    • I never realized how much air, sunshine and walking can make me feel better, until now. It was a busy week with the family visits, but also a fun one. We sure appreciated that she brought some pie with her, it was great.

Book 3 in the Love Lies and Hocus Pocus series just released too, so i think I’ll listen to that next. The narration is so well done and I love the series. So I am happy for the chance to re-read/ listen to them.

  2. It’s been really nice here too. Not too overly hot yet. It’s been warn enough that we had to install the window AC in the bedroom though. Lemon meringue pie sounds so good. That’s one of my favorite pies.

    • I don’t like the too hot weather, but the spring weather we’ve been having is nice. We don’t have AC, but we’ve had the windows open multiple times already. Same here, I love lemon meringue pie.

    • I plan to share it the new design in my next Sunday Post :). I always love seeing how the designs turn out, my designer does such an amazing job with them.

    • That’s good it doens’t rain all day long at least. Here we haven’t had much rain lately, but we did have two days with some rain this week.

    • I am glad the weather has been good, it’s nice weather to go outside. The family time, good food and winning a gift card were great too. I still have days were I struggle, but I feel like I am doing a bit better overall, which is good.

    • It’s been great to get out and enjoying the weather. Especially with the great weather we’ve been having lately. I hope you got less rain and more sun this week so you can sit outside.

  3. Bea

Sounds like a good week apart from the headache. The weather here was cool, gray, and rainy. πŸ™ Bat Wings, Rings and Apron Strings looks like a cute book; I hope you enjoy it when you get to it.

    Have a good week. πŸ™‚
