The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This was a tiring week, quite literally. On Sunday our clocks went back an hour for daylight saving and the whole week I’ve felt off, feeling like I was standing up an hour early, even tough I slept a normal amount of hours and stood up at my normal time. I hope next week is a bit better when I finally get used to it hopefully. It’s always so hard to focus when you’re tired, so I struggled with that a bit this week, but still got a surprising amount of work done.
Besides that it was a pretty decent week, some meh moments again and it was quite the busy week, but mostly an okay week. I sent out the media kit for a cover reveal next week. And did as many hours of assistant work as I could fit it as I know there are a few other moments this month when I can work less.
I went out for lunch this week with my mom and sister, we had a great time talking and the food was good. It was a lot of fun.
I didn’t get as much time for myself fit in as I had hoped, but I did get some reading done, made some progress with my audiobook (Sir Kipling’s voice is so funny!) and played some Poly bridge and Outward. I also spent some extra time in the kitchen on Saturday to make one of our favorite dishes: Onion Pie. So all in all I did pretty good.
I made a new risotto recipe this week for my boyfriend, it had mushrooms, bacon, green peas, cheese and black pepper in it. There’s a picture below. I already scheduled a recipe post for it and it will go live on the blog eventually. I’ve been working on more recipe posts lately and have a bunch scheduled at the moment.
What did I read this week?
I finished the novella Four Shifters a Stranger, which was a fun short read that gives a bit of extra background information about the three mages. And then I jumped in my ARC of Demon Magic and a Martini, which was really good. I also finished JC Hay’s story in Pets in Space 3.

- Tomato Pasta Sauce with lasagna leaves
- Sajoer Beans
- Onion Pie

Thanks! I like making these recipe posts 🙂
Risotto looks very yammy. I like to experiment with familiar recipes. Looking forward to your post with it.
It’s fun to give a twist on recipe you already know, there’s so much variation you can still try with familiar recipes.
Nice book haul. Love the covers for Annette Marie’s book. Happy Reading and have a great week.

Her books always have such great cover and they are great reads too.
Daylight Savings always exhausts me too! Happy Reading with all of your goodies this week!
I am slowly getting used to the daylight saving, but it always takes a while to adjust.
I’ve never tried making risotto myself but that looks good.

It’s a bit weird to make it the first time, but I kinda like it.
Girl, it’s been weeks here since Daylight Savings, and my sleeping schedule still feels out of wack. Lol.
The risotto look really yummy, btw!
Hope you have a great week!

Sorry to hear your sleeping schedule is still out of wack weeks later :(. Let’s hope they will settle on of the times soon.
Thanks! It was a fun dish to make.
Glad you had fun with your mother and sister. And yummy dish! Our clocks went forward last month and it took me some time to feel normal. LOL I wish they would just stop doing it.

I think they actually are going to stop doing it here in a few years or so once they decided on which time zone to keep. It will be nice to not have to switch anymore.
Yes… it’s always a struggle when the clocks go forward – I felt a bit hard done-by when they changed to BST on Mothering Sunday! I hope you soon feel a lot better:)
I am getting used to the new time now, but it’s always a struggle.
I hate Daylight Savings Time. It needs to go away, worldwide. I hope you have a great week.

I think they might actually be thinking of cancelling it and sticking with one time, which will be great.
Our daylight savings period just finished and I missing the evening sunlight already.
Have a great reading week 🙂

The evening sunlight is nice about daylight savings, but I hate the switching eahc half year.
I hate time changes so much. They mess up my schedule for weeks. Enjoy your new books. Have a good week!

The time change really messes with your schedule, it’s so annoying.
I see people cooking risotto on all the cooking shows, but haven’t had the courage to try it on my own yet. Never heard of onion pie! Glad you had such a great time with family, and got in some reading too! Hugs…RO

I usually just throw all the water in at once as I find it easier that way. It’s quite good. I love the onion pie recipe, but it takes a while to prepare.
And now I want to eat your risotto Lola!!!!

Thanks :). I think it turned out quite well.
I like risotto! It sounds like a good week. They can’t all be exciting or we’d be even more exhausted. I hope this week is going even better for you.
Here is my Sunday Post

I also like risotto I should make a vegetarian version again soon, so I can eat it as well. I agree, not all weeks should be exciting.
