sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This was a pretty good week overall. I had an errand to run, did a bunch of work and put two new sign-up posts live. A new book blitz and a new review opportunity sign-up post went live on Lola’s Blog Tours. I made a good start with this month’s assistant work as well.

My reading mood seemed to be improving again this week, which I am happy about. I finished another 5 star read this week. I also started a new puzzle this week and made some time to actually puzzle a bit almost every evening. On Saturday we went out for lunch for my grandma’s birthday.

And as April has ended, it’s time to have a look at my stats.

I got Deadly Games for review through Netgalley, book 1 in this series was really good, so I am looking forward to starting this one. Stroke the Flame I bought on release day as I like the sound of this one. Shifter Mate Magic I got for review and it’s by the same author as the sci-fi series I am currently reading on my Kobo. I am really excited to start this one. Reflections of You I bought on release day as I like the premise of this one.

    • That sounds frustrating. i hope your reading mood will improve soon.

I always like seeing all the covers of books I read next to each other.

    • It was a good week indeed :). Thanks! I have no clue what I am in the mood for half of the time, which is a bit difficult to deal with, but I had a good reading week now so i hope that sticks.

  1. That does sound like a good week. πŸ™‚ Birthdays and book work and good reading.

Nice variety of books this month and I love seeing all the indies getting good ratings. My reading mood has been all over the place the last few weeks so I sympathize with you. πŸ™‚

Wishing you another good week, Lola!

    • It was a good week πŸ™‚

I always like looking back at the month and see what I read that month. I hope my reading mood is settling a bit now.

  2. I must get hold of the S.J. Pajonas – I’m really enjoying this series:). I love the sound of Overload Flux, Lola and I hope that May is also a successful reading month for you.

    • It’s a great series so far and book 3 was just as good as the first 2 books. I am looking forward to hear what you think of the rest of the series. Have you read book 2 already?

Overload Flux was so good and I am really enjoying that author’s books so far. I’ll post my review for Overload Flux later this month πŸ™‚

  3. That’s awesome you had another 5-star read and even had time to work on a puzzle! I still haven’t had any full 5-star reads this year, I don’t think. Sounds like you’ve had a great reading month though, despite your weird mood! And I love that they were all self-pub! I feel like I haven’t been reading as many self-pub lately, and that makes me kinda sad :-/ But it mostly depends on what review copies I get offered or that pop up on NG. Anyway, glad you had a good week!

    • I am happy I finally had two 5 star reads this year. And it was nice to make some time to puzzle too. Most of the books I read so far this year are self pub I think, but I also get some traditionally published ones or smaller publishers ones through Netgalley. It does depend on which copies you’re offered indeed.

    • I know that feeling, I had some days this month as well were I struggled getting through books a bit because I was tired. I hope you feel less tired soon and can get some reading done.

    • It was awesome! And now the wait for the next book starts ;). I already finished the Carol Van Natta book, it was really good. I am so glad I discovered this author as I really like her books so far.
I haven’t read anything by Elizabeth Briggs yet, but I like the premise of this one and the author of another series I liked said it was a bit similar to her series, so I am curious to see if that’s true.
