The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
I got a lot done this week, but it also was a bit of a weird week where we were a bit out of our normal routine. My boyfriend was sick and stayed home a few days. I had a day long headache that seriously messed with my productivity. And on Friday my mom visited and she helped me do the taxes for last year. I am glad the taxes are done now, but it went a lot easier this year, so that’s good.
And I was pretty busy with work. I am a bit busier with tour work again these last few weeks, which is great. Although it does make for some busy days. I put sign-up posts for two new tours live this week, a blog tour and a release day book blitz. I also did some hours of assistant work.
And even tough I got a lot done things just didn’t feel as smoothly and I feel a bit behind on some things, although it’s actually not that bad, but I hope that feeling goes away next week when I am up to date with everything again.
We finished watching Star Wars Rebels and I thought this season was a good way to end the series, even tough the ending was pretty open ended.
What did I read this week?
Dragon Slayers had a fun concept, but the world didn’t fully come alive to me and parts of the world building ddn’t quite make sense. Under Fire was really good. I think it might be my favorite book of the series so far and I already bought a copy of book 5 that released this week. Although I am taking a short break from this series and am reading a fantasy romance book right now.
What did I cook for dinner this week?
- Lentils stew
- Curry Rice
- Lukewarm Couscous salad

Book Haul:
Sister of the Sea I won in a giveaway. Then I went on a little book buying spree. I bought Blinded, the next Imprints book. French vanilla and Felonies I saw on a blog last week and it caught my attention and was only 99 cents. Then I Found You is by the same author as the Imprints series and this one tells the story of the Imprints main characters her sister Tawnia. I bought the box set by Carol Van Natta that included the first three books in her series. The Secret Heir I got for review.
Oh man, sorry to hear you guys were sick this week. Hope things are better. Yay for getting taxes done. We had to do ours early b/c someone was trying on some identity theft that we had to deal with.
Very nice book haul. I want to eventually read that Carol Van Natta series after reading her Pets in Space novella.
Hope you have a better week, now!

My boyfriend is no longer sick ad no headaches for mt this week luckily. Sorry to hear you had to deal with that. It is always nice when the taxes are done.
I had that Carol Van Natta series on my to-read list for a while and decided to grab the box set now. I am in a bit of a sci-fi mood at the moment, so i hope to read it soon.
Sorry to hear that things weren’t great this week. Glad you got your taxes done. I did mine this week too. Hope you have a great week.

He is feeling better now luckily. My mom always helps me with my taxes, it’s nice to have some help with it as it still confuses me, but each year it goes a bit easier.
Yeah I splurged a bit on books this week :). I hope they’re all good ones.
Sorry to her your boyfriend was sick and you had a headache. Hopefully this week will be better.

We both felt a lot better this week. And I am eager to start reading some of the new books I got this week 🙂
I hope your boyfriend is feeling better, and I’m sorry to hear you had a bit of a rough week. That’s great the taxes are done though and it went easier than last year!! Something good that happened to me this past week? Hmm…well, I had really good dance classes on Friday. Oh, and I had book club last Tuesday that was tons of fun.

Taxes sure are difficult and confusing and I am always happy when it’s done.
Some weeks are just mixed like that sometimes, it seems like. Hope your new week is a good one! I’ve heard a lot about Star Wars Rebels, it does sound like a fun show.

This week was a good one, if a bit busy. I would definitely recommend Star wars Rebels, it was a fun series.
It does sound like things were just off for you this week :-/ I hope you and your boyfriend are feeling better. Great books haul though! And I’m glad to hear Star Wars Rebels ended well. I dropped off with that show some seasons back because they stopped playing it on the main Disney Channel, but I did really like it.

Yeah it was just an off week, this week was a lot better overall. But I had a great haul of new books.
I hope you can get back to watching Star Wars Rebels eventually. I thought it was a fun series.
We had a busy week around here too with my daughter’s birthday and another (ANOTHER!!) snow storm and day off school because of the storm. It was just crazy. Glad to hear that your taxes are all done. At least that’s behind you!

I can’t believe you had another snow storm, I know how much you hate winter.
I am glad my taxes are done, I always feel a lot better once that’s done.
It doesn’t sound the best week with your boyfriend is sick and you also smitten with a headache. I’m glad the tax returns went smoothly and that you are busy with blog tours. I hope the coming week is easier for you, Lola.
The headache and my boyfriend being weren’t fun. I am glad the taxes are done now and that business is going well.
