sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

Not much to tell about this week. It was a pretty good one. A cover reveal I organized took place and a two day release day blitz, which both went well. I also sent out the media kits for a cover reveal for next week. I did a bunch of assistant work this week as well.

I made good progress on the puzzle I am working on and almost finished it. I also got some new books this week and already finished one and started another. And I won an Amazon Gift card this week, yay!

What did I read this week?

On the HuntScorpio Hates VirgoThe Best Little Whorehouse

On the Hunt was really good and I started book3 right after it as there simply wans’t an other book I would rather read. It’s a great series so far and I love the blend of suspense and paranormal elements. Scorpio Hates Virgo was a great additive contemporary MM Romance, not as good as the first book, but still a great read. And it’s not an enemies to lovers book as the title suggest. I also finished The Best Little Whorehouse and reviewed it on Goodreads. I don’t think I’ll review it on my blog as it was a pretty short read, although maybe I’ll pick up the anthology it will be part of and review that.

What did I cook for dinner this week?

This week I blogged about:

Review: Dangerous Moves by Karen Rock
Review: Don’t Rush Me by Jackie May

What to expect next week on the blog:

– Review: Cookie Dough, Snow and wands Aglow by Erin Johnson
– Review: Priestess awakened by Lidiya Foxglove
– Lola’s Kitchen: Chocolate Cookies with Cinnamon Recipe

Magic BornThe Right MoveThe Best Little Whorehouse

I bought Magic Born when it released and it was only 99cents. I like the sound of the book. The Right Move I got for review and just started reading. The Best Little Whorehouse I also got for review and already finished reading it. I also got Dead of Winter for review, but it has no cover yet.

  1. A quiet week is good… You had some intriguing reads this week, didn’t you? And go you for winning an Amazon voucher:)). I hope the coming week is also a good one, Lola.

    • It’s a recipe based on a recipe that I ate a lot growing up. It’s quite nostalgic and has lots of veggies and fruits. And I agree it’s amazing being able to make a living doing what you love :).

    • I agree it’s nice to have a quiet week now and then :). And I was so happy to win the Amazon gift card.

The Best Little Whorehouse does have a great cover indeed. It was a fun read. I think it will be in a sci-fi RH anthology that releases later this month.

The Magic Born cover is what caught my attention and for only 99cents I couldn’t resist buying it :).

    • It was such a great surprise to find out I won a gift card :). And that Teyla Branton series is so good! I wish I could convince some people to give it a try as it’s so good.

Yeah that title totally convinced me it was an enemies to lovers book, but they just pretend to be not like each other, but it’s obvious they do and they quickly turn into friends.

    • I finished the post today so it’s really getting published this week :). It’s a good recipe. I tried out a bunch of new cookie recipes, so I am slowly will be posting them on my blog as well.

    • I really had no clue what to mention in my Sunday Post this time, but it was a good week. I am looking forward to share that recipe, the cookies were great. I have 3 Lola’s Kitchen posts scheduled at this moment, as I started baking more again I suddenly have new recipes to share again :). And I have two recipes I still need to type out.
