MyTBRList

My To-Be Read List is a meme hosted by Because Reading is Better Than Real Life where at the beginning of the month visitors can choose which book I’ll be reading this month. On the first saturday of a month the poll will be up, then on the second saturday of the month I’ll announce the book that won and on the last saturday of the month I’ll post my review of the book.

For this month I picked three books that all counts for one of my 2017 Goals! Alien Frog Prince is a book I got through an ARC team, I wanted to read more books by Tracy Krimmer so that’s where In With the new counts for and Rules of Accusation is a book from netgalley.

Alien Frog PrinceAlien Frog Prince: A Space Age Fairy Tale
by J. M. Page and Juno Wells

Blurb:
It’s not easy being green and unloved. Can an amphibious prince woo a socially awkward human?

A rueful royal…

Prince Zakrom feels like everyone on Granota has found their One — their beloved for life — except him. His worried parents send him to visit Earth, hoping it will distract him from his solitude. Zak finds more than a distraction: Jennifer, the lovely human at the Interstellar Embassy, is his One! But surely such a beautiful creature can’t be interested in a strange-looking alien like him.

A diplomatic dilemma…

With the Ambassador called away on urgent business, Jen’s in a panic at being left in charge of the Prince’s visit. She loves learning about alien cultures, but somehow missed the file on the Granotans and is totally unprepared. If she blunders too badly, she could cause a diplomatic incident or even trigger an attack on Earth!

A galactic gambit…

But despite her constant gaffes, the Prince doesn’t seem upset. In fact, he seems to like her… rather a lot. When he invites her to visit his planet, will this unlikely couple finally have the chance to share an enchanted Kiss that will change everything?

Alien Frog Prince is 20,000 words of sweet, clean romance, with NO swearing, graphic violence, or explicit sexual content. For a limited time, it includes an extra book: Beauty and the Space Beast at no extra charge!

In with the NewIn with the New
by Tracy Krimmer

Blurb:
Eli no longer believes in love, and Meg has no time for it. Can the spirit of Christmas and hope of a new year change their perspectives?

Rules of AccusationRules of Accusation (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)
by Paula M. Block and Terry J. Erdmann

Blurb:
An original eNovella set in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine universe!

On the space station Deep Space 9, Quark’s Public House, Café, Gaming Emporium, Holosuite Arcade, and Ferengi Embassy can’t legitimately be called an embassy until the Grand Nagus—namely, Quark’s brother Rom—dedicates it as such. Not that Quark really cares about Ferengi protocol, but a well-publicized dedication ceremony will naturally draw people to the bar. Everybody loves a good open house—free appetizers, half-price drinks, door prizes, etc.—all of which Quark can write off as Embassy expenses. It’s a win-win situation, with him on both sides of the win. There’s even a plan to display the original scroll of the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition—which no one has seen for decades given that it’s been held in protective storage—and charge patrons by the minute to look at it up close. Nothing, of course, could possibly go wrong with this big plan. Absolutely nothing at all…

Now it’s time to vote!

    • I am curious how they tackle the frog prince fairytale in a sci-fi setting. And In With the New sure fits this time fo the year :).

    • I really like Star Trek, or at least the series I’ve seen so far. Have you seen DS9? I really enjoyed it, so I am curious about this novella.

  1. Alien Frog Prince- because that title. That’s my vote. 🙂 I didn’t even read the blurb lol. Well I did after I voted because curious. I think that just about everything is out there now- somewhere. But hey DS9- if I remember you’re a Star Trek DS9 fan? So that’s probably a good choice too!

    • It’s a title that gets your attention for sure. I think I haven’t even read the blurb yet, lol.

Yes I am a fan of DS9, I requested that novella as soon as I saw it on netgalley, just haven’t had the chance to read it yet.

    • I actually think In With the new was ahead last time I checked, but the Alien frog was close behind. So I am curious to see which one will win :).

    • In with the New sure fits this time of the year. And I hope I can get to alien frog prince soon as it sounds good and I’ve enjoyed the previous books by the author so far.
