Coyer is back! This twice yearly reading challenge is one of my favourite challenges and I am really excited for this winter edition. Coyer stands for Clean Out Your E-Reads. The challenge will run from December 19th to March 4th. And is hosted by Fantasy is More Fun, Because Reading & Books, Movies, Reviews! Oh My! and the goal is to clean out your free or nearly free E-reads!

My Goals

Here are my goals for this challenge:

  • Read 20 e-books. Seeing as I read about 2 books each week and coyer runs for 11 weeks, this should be doable. And as I might read some books that don’t count as well, I am thinking 20 is a nice goal.
  • Participate in social activities. The social aspect of Coyer is one of the things that make this challenge awesome, so I am hoping to participate in twitter parties and be active in the facebook group.
  • Read 3 blogger shame books. I am hoping to make a head start on some of my 2016 challenges and this one ties in neatly with Coyer as it’s about review books. I am hoping to read 3 books that I have received for review at least 6 months ago.
  • Read 4 New releases 2016. Another reading challenge that I am hoping to tie into Coyer and get a few new releases read already.
  • Read at least 10 review books. I feel like I am always behind with review books, so I am hoping to get some review books read during this challenge.

Are you participating in Coyer?

  1. Admirable goals, Lola! I’m glad you’re doing this challenge. I’m thinking of doing the Blogger Shame challenge also – thanks for the reminder! I’m embarrassed that I have so many unread ARCs. I thought about challenging myself to 20 books for COYER, but decided to keep my goal more modest since one of my overall goals for 2016 is to read more books of my own choosing, from my TBR pile/list, and I’ve got a bunch of physical books in that category as well.

    • Coyer is always such a fun chalenge! The Blogger Shame challenge is one I need so badly with the many urnead review copies I have and some from years ago *cringe*. I might read a few physical books during Coyer as well, so those won’t count, but I also have some short stories I hope to read so that will compensate for those.

    • That’s awesome you manage to only buy books until you’re reayd tor ead them, I wish I had your restraint when it comes to books. I accept way too many review books and have quite some freebies and even e-books I bought and never get around to reading. Although I will probably focus on review book mostly.

    • I always accept more review books than I can read and I still have some really old review books that I still haven’t read. It’s a great challenge!

    • That’s what I am usualy aiming for with these challenges, challenging, but also realistic goals. I really enjoy this reading challenge, there’s a facebook group where we talk a lot and it’s a great community. I’ve met some great people through this challenge. I really need that older review books challenge, it’s bad how many older review books I have.

  2. [Looks at the pile of books in the corner ….]

Well, I’m not doing Coyer, but I am trying to kick it in gear and help out Anya with the ever-growing pile of physical books to review!!

I have a bad habit of going to the book store in order to get a particular book … and somehow 5 of its friends decide they have to come along for the ride.

    • Yeah it definitely seems to be a problem many bookworms have, having too many books. And getting too many new ones even while we still have enough to read. I don’t get any physical copies for review, so my review books are mostly e-books. For summer coyer physical copies usually count to, but not for this one. Good luck with getting those physical books read :).

    • It’s always such a fun challenge, I can’t wait for it to start :). I always try to keep my goals manageable, as else I feel overhwelmed. I do want a challenge, but I don’t want to feel stressed.

    • Thanks Lexxie! I am lookin forward to this challenge, it’s always a lot of fun! Setting the goals right can be difficult at times as I do want a challenge, but not stress myself out.
