New-Release-Challenge
I am participating in the 2015 New Release Challenge hosted by Lexxie from Unconventional Book Views and Stormi at Books, Movies, Reviews! Oh My!. Basically the goal is to read books released in 2015. They have to be at least 130 pages and need to be released, read and reviewed in 2015 to count. I go for the goal New Release Newbie: 1-15 books per year. I am hoping to read around 15 new releases this year. I plan on doing quarterly recaps to show my progress, so expect recap posts end March, June, September and December.

Books I plan to read for this challenge:

Ofcourse this list is subject to change. I already finished one book from this list: Riding the Odds by Lynda K. Scott! All links go to the goodreads page of the book or in the case of the two untitles books to the author page on goodreads.

Which 2015 releases do you plan on reading this year?

    • I thought it was fun to see which 2015 releases I really want to read. I only just realized I have two other review books that I want to read this year that aren’t on the list yet, ah well, I doubt I get everything on this list read, but It was fun to make a list ;).
I love SJ Pajonas her Nogiku series and even though the book doesn’t have a title or cover yet I know it will be publshed this year and that’s one book I’ll read as soon as I get my hands on it.

And I am so happy you decided to host this challenge, I always read quite some new releases this year and it’s fun to give them some extra attention.

    • I grabbed my copy of Owl and the Japanese Circus last week and I really want to read it soon, so I had to add it to my list. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it and I’ve been in an urban fantasy mood since the start of this year.

  1. Good luck with the challenge, Lola! I don’t know how you do it. Challenges freak the heck out of me.

Basically this year I plan to ONLY read new releases LOL I won’t have much time to read this year to backlist books are not really going to be reached for by me. I’m doing the risky thing and going full on front list hahah Right now I’m looking forward to Sin Eater’s Daughter and Darker Shade of Magic!

    • Since this year I figured out I actually like challenges. I am a moodreader, but I like the little bit of guidance that reading challenges provide me. There’s a change I am overdoing it a bit this year, but I kept all my goals low.

I wouldn’t be able to only read new releases, I usually get soem for review and have my favourites pre-ordered, but beside that I am probably reading backlists books. Going full fron list sounds like a fun approach as well if you can do that :).

    • Don’t you have any favourite authors who are releasing new books this year? I usually receive some review copies as well and those aren’t even included in this list, I just realized I already got two 2015 releases this year which aren’t part of this list.

Rabid Reads did a top ten list at the end of the year were she mentioned it, else I wouldn’t have known either. Even though I haven’t finished her Mythos Academy series yet I am really excited for this new YA series as well.

    • There are always so many new and exciting books releasing this year, I hope I get to read all of the books on this list, but knowing me I probably find other new releases to read and still don’t read all of these.

  2. Oh wow. I’m so honored that you included my book that doesn’t even have a title or cover yet! I hope to have both of those ready to show off soon πŸ™‚ Plus there’s the other contemporary romance book I have that I plan on publishing in the fall. All of the books you’ve included in your list look really good! I’m going to have to go check them out now πŸ™‚

    • I just had to include it even though there’s no title or cover yet I just know that’s one book I am going to read this year no matter what. And I know you said it would be published this year, so that’s garantee enough.
I wasn’t sure when you were planning to publish your contemporary book so that’s why I didn’t include it, but I am excited to hear it’s goign to be published this year as well!

Most of this list are books by my favourite authors and at the end of the year I probably will end up havign read more review copies new releases that I didn’t mention here and still haven’t read some of those books by my favourite authors, but oh well, at leats it’s my intention to read those books!

    • Oh I haven’t heard of those before. It’s always excited to see whcih enw releases are comign up and it was fun to plan whcih enw releases I hope to read. Although at this point I am alreayd reading one book that isn’t on this list.

  3. Ooh, nice list! If I had to choose one book to read off your list, I’d choose The Ruby Circle! I’m sooo excited to read it! I have an ARC of Shadow Study but I’m afraid to start it. I LOVED Poison Study, but only kind of liked Magic Study and Fire Study. ):

    • I am really excited for Ruby Circle, I got an e-mail today from the bookdepository that it is shipped, can’t wait to read it! And I got an ARC from Shadow Study as well and am currently readign it. It is really good, but I did enjoy all the other books as well. It’s so much fun to e back in this world and ther eare multiple perspectives and we learn more about Valek’s past and Yelena is in some new trouble.
