sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?
Again a busy week. I’ve been busy with sending out job applications and wednesday morning I got a call I could come for a job interview on thursday, it went well and then I had another job interview for the same job on Friday and then that afternoon I got a call I didn’t get a job. It really sounded like a fun job and it was part time and easily combineable with my Lola’s Blog Tours work, so I am a bit disapointed I didn’t get the job :(.

And again I didn’t spend a lot of time online, I miss visiting other blogs and commenting :(. I did got a quite some reading done this week, I finished two books and read a chunk of a thirs book as well. That’s almost back to my normal reading speed, so I hope I can keep this up.

Saturday evening we went out for dinner with my grandma as it’s almost her birthday. We always go to the same restaurant, it’s not really something special just an average Chinese restaurant, but my grandma likes it there.

    • Thanks Aurian. I really hope I find something soon, as I just have had enough of job searching. It’s annoying and I just want to find something so I can stop searching.

  1. Ahhh can totally empathise with you on the job front. It’s so tough right now and can definitely wear you down. Chin up though, something will come your way! πŸ™‚
Awesome book haul too – enjoy your books!

    Here’s my Showcase Sunday

I’m hosting a Mental Health Awareness Month in June too! If you’d like to find out more or join in that would be great πŸ™‚

  2. πŸ™ sorry you didn’t get the job, I have my fingers crossed you find one soon and you LOVE it πŸ™‚

For my mom and dad they enjoy a spanish restaurant we go to every year for one of there birthdays. It’s nothing special but they both enjoy it and the food is really good. Hope your grandmother had a great birthday!!!

That looks like an amazing collection.
Have a great week Lola πŸ™‚

    • aww thanks Michelle :).

My grandma really seemed to enjoy the dinner, that’s the most important thing. I did get sick afterwards, probably food poisoning :(.

It’s a collection of dystopia books, I have read two of them already, I really hope the other stories are good as well :).

    • Sorry to hear you are also having trouble job hunting :(. It really isn’t a good time to be looking for a job. Thanks for the positive thoughts, I can use some of those!

    • I try, but it’s so hard to stay hopefull when all I hear is that I am not good enough for a job. It’s tiresome. I am really glad for getting the boxed set though :), I can’t wait to see which great books are in there.

    • Indeed, that box set is such a great deal! Especially because it includes 10 full lenght books!
It’s so difficult to not take the rejection personal :(, I’ve been searching for so long now, around 2 years on and off.

    • Indeed there are just too many applicants, it’s really annoying. And when competing with about 50 other applicants for every job, it’s no wonder I never get choosen. I agree the box set sounds really good and it’s such a cheap rpice for 10 full lenght novels!
