The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This was a tiring week. We had ordered new bed frame slats last week and we got a new date and time slot for delivery this week after last week’s delivery time did not work out. Luckily this time we got an afternoon delivery slot, so that worked out. It was a stressful and tiring day, getting our current bed frame slats out of the frame and making sure everything was to the side so the people who did the delivery and montage of the new bed frame slats could do that. That went pretty smoothly and the new bed frame slats make a big difference. After the first night we did realize they made a small mistake as our feet were now higher than our head, which should’ve been the other way around, so we had to resolve that ourselves the next day and lower the feet half of our frame. So that’s all done now and hopefully once we get used to the new bed frame slats we’ll be sleeping better. So far the new bed frame slats feel more supportive and I’ve been sleeping better already.
A lot of the time and energy this week went to that and I felt pretty stressed for those days. I don’t deal well with change, so this is very hard for me to deal with. We did manage to get a nice nature walk in the day before the delivery. I also got a small amount of work done for the author I do assistant work for. My gut symptoms have been pretty mild, but the stress did trigger symptoms for a few days, but I am glad the food I am eating seems to be working.
What did I read this week?
This week I blogged about:
– Review: The Vampire in the Potting Shed by Hailey Edwards
– Review: The Suffering of Fools by Jenn Burke
– Review: Second Time’s a Curse by Laura Greenwood
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: The Mating Game by Lana Ferguson
– Review: The Fossil Door by Celia Lake
– Review: Sea Blooms by H.P. Lane

There are some fun book covers in the group of novels you read this week. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for stopping by. I had some good reads this week.
It sounds like you are making some progress with your gut issues, but overall a draining, stressful week. I hope the coming one is kinder – we are suddenly being zapped by some very hot weather, I hope you are having it milder.
I finally feel like I am in a good place when it comes to my gut issues with very few symptoms. I am hoping to test some more foods soon to see if I react to them or not. Sadly we got the zap of hot weather here too :(.
So glad your eating and sleeping are improving and you got in some nature walking.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
It’s nice to finally get the hang of what I can eat and have hardly any symptoms now. And the new bed frame slats really made a difference to my sleep. I am hoping to get a few more walks in this week as well.
I’m so glad the bed slats came in at the right time and you are now getting more comfortable sleep to hopefully make the delivery stress worth. Nice stack of books read.
Have a good week, Lola!
I am so glad they arrived at the right time and that they improved our sleep quality.
Sorry you have been stressed out, hopefully things start aligning correctly. Have a great week.
I hope so too. Thanks!
I really hope that the new slates will help out! Sorry to hear about the stressful week. The nature walk sounds like it was very much needed.
So far I’ve been sleeping a lot better, so it definitely seems to help. Just too bad the whole process was so stressful.
Glad you got the bed sorted. The Groom & Doom series is a fun cozy.
It was such a relief to got the bed sorted out.
I’m glad to hear you got the bed sorted out. If it wasn’t frustrating, I’m sure it would make a funny story! I’m sorry it couldn’t be funny all around. But nature walks are always nice. I hope it wasn’t too hot in your hometown this week. Not sweltering yet. I look forward to your review on Live and Galette Die. That looks interesting! Have a good week, my friend.
I am glad we got the bed sorted out and are sleeping better and a shame it couldn’t be funny for sure. We’re having some really warm weather this week, but I am hoping to get another nature walk in this week.
