Age Category: New Adult
Type of romance: Polyamory/ Reverse Harem

Discovering she’s under a curse is only the start of Mona’s problems.I never wanted a cat, but the ever-kittens don’t seem to care, and now I have more than ever.
The last thing I expected when I came to Grimalkin was to learn I’d been cursed. And yet, now I am. I have no choice but to find a way to break it. But first, I need to work out who cast it in the first place.
At least I have some warlocks by my side to lend a helping hand.

My Review
I was in the mood for an easy and fun read and decided to pick up the second book in this series as I enjoyed the first book. And this was such a great sequel. It basically furthers the ongoing plot lines, romances and there’s more kittens.
Second Time’s a Curse was a great read. I liked reading more about Mona. She’s cursed and now every time she does magic she creates a kitten. In this book she creates even more kittens. And she’s working hard with the help of her friend Daphne and her three love interests to figure out what caused her curse and how to fix it. There is some good progress in that regard in this book and even some works toward finding a solution.
I liked seeing Mona grow closer to all 3 of the love itnerest as well as seeing the first hints about polyamory get brought up and things slowly moving into that direction. I liked how there are scenes with each of the guys in this book and seeing Mona’s connection with them deepen was fun to see.
Mona is a likable character to read about and I especially like seeing how friendship with Daphne and how the two interact. It also was fun to see more of the kittens Mona creates and they each have their own personality. Although she has so many of them by now it can be hard to keep them apart at times.
To summarize: This was a great sequel. I liked reading more about Mona and seeing how with help of her friends and love interests she makes progress figuring things out about her curse. There are more kittens she conjures and they were fun to read about, but there are a lot of them by now and its hard to keep them apart at times. I like seeing Daphne and Mona’s friendship and how they are there for eahc other. I also like seeing the romances progress and things slowly building towards a polyamory romance. All in all this was a fun and easy read and I look forward to the next book!
