The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This week was a bit better than previous one. My boyfriend is feeling better, which is good as he wasn’t feeling well for more than a week now. On Friday I went to have lunch at my mom’s, I hadn’t seen her in a while so it was nice to catch up. Then that night I woke up as I was feeling unwell, I was very nauseous and had to vomit eventually, guess I had eaten something that didn’t agree with me. I am still feeling a bit off.
We rearranged our living room a bit as we had gotten a second hand chair form my mom and her husband a while ago. And there was a cabinet we didn’t want anymore that we finally finished cleaning out and then moved it out of the room so the chair could go there. The room feels a lot cozier now and it was good to get that done.
I did get another nasty surprise as I was doing my taxes for 2024 and it seems I have way more money I need to pay than I thought I would. I have to call them and figure out if I am doing everything correctly. So that made me stressed about money again.
Didn’t get as much work done, but did a bit of prooflistening and some other small tasks.
What did I read this week?
This week I blogged about:
– Review: Practical Rules for Cursed Witches by Kayla Cottingham
– Review: Deckles and Death by A.C.F. Bookens
– Review: Dating and Dragons by Kristy Boyce
– Review: Waiting for Psamathe by Laura Greenwood
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: Poisoning at the Party by Beth Dolgner
– Review: The Nameless Restaurant by Tao Wong
– Review: Fire Dancing for Icey Dragons by Laura Greenwood
Glad your boyfriend is on the mend. Always a little cheer up when a room re-arrangement makes it more cheery. Fun that we got new-used chairs from the folks around the same time. 🙂
So, sorry you got a touch of food poisoning and it left you with a rough week.
Have a good week, Lola!
I was so relieved when he started feeling better. And the new room layout is so much nicer. It sure was a fun coincidence how we get got new-used chairs from our folks.
I think the not feeling well was my allergy/ intolerance for a type of rapeseed-oil that has gotten super common here. I have to be really careful and check packages and sometimes they list the other type of rapeseed-oil even though the type I can’t stand is in there.
Ugh, I always end up owing more taxes than I think. I tried to have extra taken each moth last year starting in July or August maybe? Don’t know that it did any good. Need to do my taxes and figure it out for sure though. Hope you’re feeling better. Have a good week!

My financial situation changed a bit so I knew I had to pay attention and make sure it all went correct this time, but didn’t realize I had to pay so much taxes, at least I know going forward, but it was a pain. I hope your taxes go smoothly this year and you don’t have to pay more.
Money can stress anyone out. I’m glad that your boyfriend is doing better.
It sure was stressful with the money and health issues this week.
I hope this week you are both feeling well. I did our taxes last month as my degree was in accounting it’s easy enough for me. Ours aren’t complex either.

Thanks! That’s handy you have a degree in accounting and the taxes are easy for you. I think I have my taxes figured out now, but it sure is confusion if you don’t know enough about it. Maybe I can see if I can take a short course on the topic once.
