sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This week was kinda tiring. There was a lot of renovation noise this week, which was annoying and stressful and then some other things going on. And I just felt tired dealing with it al. Then later in the week I got a migraine, which was a pain. It lasted for more than two days and I didn’t get much done then, luckily it’s gone now.

We did have some nice sunny days this week, which at least helped a bit with my mental state. It was cold, but sunny.

I am planning to do more discussion type posts this year and I just posted about my 2025 reading goals this week, which was a fun post to do. I hope to do a post about my 2024 reading statistics soon.

I did some formatting for the author I just did the paperback versions for and now the ebooks are formatted, just waiting to see if she wants any changes. I have a new formatting job for another author coming up soon too and I am glad to be doing more formatting as I enjoy that work. The formatting software I use has been having some issues and bug since the last update, so that was a bit annoying dealing with it as I had to keep refreshing it, do a hard reset or log out and then log in again. Hopefully they fix that soon.

What did I read this week?

    • It was nice to have some sunny days for a change, but the migraine was really annoying. I usually don’t get them outside of my periods. Nice that you got to write a discussion post as you were home on a snow day.

  1. I hope you feel better this week and have less noise. My daughter has had a better time with migraines since last September when she started a new preventative medication but insurance keeps wanting to not approve it. Renovations are horrible while happening but the improvements can be great when complete.

    • That’s great to hear your daughter is doing better with her migraines with her new medication, but that’s a pain about the insurance struggles. We sure are happy with the new windows, but it’s taking them so long to wrap it all up and the downside of living in an apartment is that we hear everyone’s renovations.

    • I really hope the renovations are about done. They don’t really tell us anything, but I think another month or so, maybe two at most. The formatting work is fun to do.

  2. Glad you’re getting another formatting job, but hopefully that program will update for you soon. Lovely to have a few sunny days to cheer you up. Around here, sun in winter means its actually colder than a cloudy day. 🙂

    Have a good week, Lola!

    • I definitely hope the program will update soon as havign to work around the issues is a bit of a pain. It was nice to have some sunny days, here it usually works the same with sun meaning colder days.

  3. I’m so sorry you’ve had another migraine:(. And you have my profound sympathy regarding the renovation work going on. We are now living next door to a DIY enthusiast and all our walls are solid brick, which makes an unholy row every time he drills – which is often! I hope the coming week is free of pain and you feel a whole lot better.

    • I am sorry to hear about you living next to a DIY enthusiast, that sounds annoying with all the drilling. I am always surprised how much some people can drill. This week is my “scheduled” period migraine, so no pain free week sadly.
