The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This week didn’t go as smoothly as I had hoped. I got a really nasty headache that lasted multiple days, a muscle in my shoulder/ neck sat weirdly due to sleeping on it wrongly and it took a while before I could get it back to normal. I felt much better after that and then a day later my other shoulder hurt and caused another headache. I didn’t sleep well for a few nights partly due to the shoulder and felt tired. I also had a few good days in between, which was nice.
On Thursday our kitchen sink issue got resolved. It turned out to be the faucet that was the problem and was leaking. We got a new faucet now and no more leaking. Glad that got resolved so quickly and smoothly.
Work wise I took it easy this week. I did some assistant work for one of my authors and sent out a media kit for a tour starting next week. I also had a tour running this week that I organized.
What did I read this week?
I also finished a non-fiction book Subscriptions for Authors.
This week I blogged about:
– DNF Reviews March and April 2024
– Review: Mischievous Familiars For Cordial Fairies by Laura Greenwood
– Review: Love Sugar Magic A Dash of Trouble by Anna Meriano
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: Don’t Want You Like a Best Friend by Emma R. Alban
– Review: Wrenched by Lindsay Buroker

So sorry about your headaches:((. I hope your shoulder injury improves soon. And it must be a relief to find out that the leak in the sink wasn’t overly complicated. I hope the coming week is a kinder one, Lola.
The headaches were a pain :(. I’ve struggled with my shoulders for a while now and when they hurt it causes tension headaches, but it’s been doing better lately until this week, I think sleeping on it wrongly was the problem this time. It was a relief the kitchen sink was a relatively easy fix.
Ooh! Just jumped over to read your review of Love Sugar Magic – I really enjoyed that one too!

I had so much fun listening to that book. Have you read the rest of the series? I hope to get to book 2 soon.
Ugh! Sorry about the headaches! I’ve been having back issues, from my mattress I think. Yesterday I tried switching the mattress around so the foot and head were switched. Hoping maybe that will help. Chef’s Kiss looks good. I’ll need to check out what you thought of it. I hope you have a better week!

We have these things under our mattress that we can change and they weren’t set correctly that caused my neck and shoulder pain. I hope you switching your mattress around helps you sleep, I always heard it was good to change your mattress frequently as long as you have a mattress were you can sleep on either side.
I really enjoyed Chef’s Kiss, definitely recommend it.
Now, that the weather is getting warmer, the headaches are probably more frequent. Yay for the plumbing issue being a simple solve for the plumber and good that you were able to decrease your work load to get by better this week.
Have a good week, Lola!
I think this time the headaches were caused by sleeping wrongly, but warmer weather does cause headaches too sometimes. I am glad the plumbing issue was an easy fix.
I am sorry for the headaches. I hope this next week goes more smoothly.

Thanks! I hope so too.
I’m glad they were able to figure out what the problem was with the sink and get it fixed. I hope you are feeling better now.

I am glad the sink was an easy fix and I am feeling better now 🙂
Sorry about the headaches and shoulder pain. I hate that our bodies can get so injured just by sleeping. Glad the sink was at least simple to fix 🙂

It really is annoying how sleeping badly can hurt our bodies so much. I am glad the sink was a simple fix and got resolved quickly.
