The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This week started pretty good, I had slightly more energy and got some work done as well as some cleaning tasks in the house that I hadn’t gotten to in a while. Which was nice. Then I got a migraine, I have period migraines, so I get one every 4 weeks when I am on my period. At least I can predict when I get them and can clear my schedule a bit, but they’re still a pain. This was a pretty bad migraine, my meds did help somewhat, but I was still in a lot of pain, had brain fog and couldn’t do much.
Work wise I did some assistant work for one of the authors I am working for. I am waiting for some tour materials from another author so I can work on a blog tour. And I checked the sign ups and send tour date confirmation emails to those who signed up for my newest book blitz.
What did I read this week?
I finished a lot of books this week. Love & Other Disasters was awesome! I really liked the romance, the grumpy-sunshine vibe of their first meetings and then it growing into friendship and then more. The cooking show competition aspect was fun too.
Okhéania – The Tsunami was a comic book I found among my older Netgalley shelf books and decide to read. The art and world building was great, but the characters weren’t as interesting and the story was a bit off and confusing at times and didn’t fully hook me.
Monster Gear and Lizzie Blake’s Best Mistake were DNF’s. I’ll do a DNF review post end February.
Death Among the Doilies had an interesting theme with the main character running a crafting retreat, but the mystery didn’t really work for me.
The Psychic’s the Thing had a great mystery with plenty of twist and turns. I struggled with how things have changed since the timeline changed in the previous book, it’s confusing and doesn’t feel as familiar now.
This week I blogged about:
– Review: The Talent Thief by Mike Thayer
– Review: MateHub Legend by Marie Reynard
– Review: Vanilla Frappe and Reasons to Stay by Laura Greenwood
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: Tart of Darkness by Denise Swanson
– Review: The Fae’s Bride by R.L. Medina
– Review: Sigils & Sushi by Nia Quinn
Tours open for sign-up on Lola’s Blog Tours:
– Review Opportunity: Notes for Neuro Navigators by Jolene Stockman
– Review Opportunity: Daughter of Isis by Kelsey Ketch
– Review Opportunity: Eat Dessert First by Michelle Paris
– Book Blitz: Preach It Grace by Susan Count – 4 till 17 March
I’m sorry to hear about the migraine. I hope you’re having a nice weekend.

Thanks! The migraine was a bad one.
So sorry to hear about the migraine – I used to suffer a great deal before I went through the menopause so I do know what a misery they are:(. I hope the coming week is easier and that you end up with some more successful reads, Lola.
I hope menopause fixes my migraines too, especially as I mostly get them during my periods, but I am still in my early thirties so who knows how long I still have to wait for that.
My daughter has migraines but she’s having a better time at least the meds she has are working to keep them short. I hope this week is better!

I might have to see eventually if there are other meds I can take for my migraines that work better. I am sorry to hear your daughter has migraines too, but the meds she has sound to work well for keeping them short.
Bummer the headache had to be a doozy that your meds couldn’t work on as well, but glad you got quite a bit done and read so felt the week had some accomplishments in it.
Have a good week, Lola!

It was a shame of the migraine and how the meds didn’t work as well, maybe eventually I can see if they have other meds I can try. At least I got a bunch of things done before the migraine hit.
I wish there were better meds for migraines that helped more. I hope you are feeling better now.

There might be ones that work better, maybe eventually I can go back to the doctor to see if they have ones that work better than my current ones.
Sorry about the migraine and just not feeling up to it this week. I hope you’re feeling better for this upcoming week. You’ve got some good books here, that Love and Other Disasters does look good!

The start of the week before the migraine was solid at least, but the migraine was a pain and I didn’t get much done those days. Love and Other Disasters was really good!
Looks you did have a great reading week. Hope you feel better this week.
