sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This week started off a bit messy. An appointment I had got moved to next week only 24 hours in advance, which I think is way too late to notify about that. So that caused extra stress rescheduling and adjusting my planning for the week. Once that was done the week got a lot better. I also took a day off and took things a bit slower this week after being so tired last week, but also had to focus on getting some work done .

Work wise I focused a lot on assistant work for two of the authors I work for and made some good progress. I am proof listening a new audiobook for one of my authors, which is a fun task. I also had a tour I organized starting this week and some of the usual email replies and sign up checking work. I started reading a new book about Kickstarter as one of the authors I work is going to run a campaign later this year. I don’t know a lot about Kickstarter, so this book has been quite informative so far.

I am happy to announce that my new book formatting service is live! The official launch is next week and I have my social media posts, blog post and author newsletter scheduled for then. I put the last finishing touches upon my website page forms and scheduled everything this week. I am excited to start offering this service and have enjoyed formatting books so far.

  1. Glad you were able to take things a bit easy – that’s the hard part about working for yourself, actually stepping away from the job! I can imagine that proof listening an audiobook must be fun – but I guess you have to do it in small chunks to keep your focus. That’s what happens to me when line editing my books, anyway:)). Have a great week, Lola.

    • Proof listening to an audiobook is a fun task for sure, and indeed I have to do in chunks of half an hour usually to keep my focus.

  2. Congrats on getting the new book formatting service up and running! I’m glad to hear that you took some time off for yourself so you could rest. It’s super important! Oh, I see you’re working your way through the Nogiku Series again. 🙂

    • I was happy to finally get my new book formatting service up and running.

Yes I read the first 2 books last year I think and thought it was time to continue now with book 3. Hopefully I can get to book 4 soon :). It’s fun to re-read it all these years later.
