sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This was a pretty okay week. I got some extra sleep in this week and felt a bit better overall, although still a few tired days. I had lunch with my mother and sister, which was fun. My mom had baked scones, which were really good and it was fun to catch up and chat. This Thursday was King’s Day here, we bought some pastries with orange frosting to celebrate, but it was a normal day for us besides that.

I got a good amount of work done too. I wrapped up my assistant work for this month. I also got two new sign up posts live this week, a book blitz for a non-fiction book and a review opportunity for a fairytale/ fantasy romance book. I worked on two other tours that I hope to put live early May. And sent out the media kit for a tour starting early May.

What did I read this week?

  1. Cakes with orange frosting! Yum. Is King’s Day always the same or is it based on the king’s birthday like it is for the emperor in Japan? Glad to hear you’re feeling better!

    • The pastry was a tompoes, it’s a common dutch pastry and very good. Yes King’s Day is based on the King’s birthday indeed and changes when we have a new king or queen.

  2. Sounds like a good week! Love that you could spend time with your family and have a little King’s Day celebration. Way to go getting your monthly author work wrap up done and start some new work.

    Have another great week, Lola!

    • Thanks! It was a good week for sure with the visit and the King’s Day celebration with pastries. I am glad I got my April work all wrapped up.

  3. I’m glad it was a good week. I had some store bought scones last month and they were so good. It was the first time I’d ever had them. They were orange flavored.

    • I really like scones and these ones my mom baked might’ve been her best batch yet. Glad to hear you got to try scones from the store, I don’t think I’ve seen them orange flavored here, but that sounds good!
