The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This was a decent week. Both my boyfriend and I have been feeling better this week after we were sick the week before, but we still have some lingering symptoms. We both still have a lingering cough and some tiredness, I even took a nap twice this week as I was tired in the afternoon. So we still took it a bit easy this week.
It was nice to be able to get some things done again and not feel as sick anymore, but I hope the last lingering symptoms are gone soon too. Unfortunately I also had a dentist appointment this week, I always hate going, but it went well and no cavities luckily, yay! I had a few mild headaches this week. And late this week I felt a migraine coming on, but could take my medicine in time to prevent it from setting in, that’s the first time that happened.
Work wise I wrapped up the assistant work for October on Monday and then the rest of the week made a start on this month’s assistant work. I had a tour still running that I organized. I put a new sign up post live for a review opportunity for a suspense/ mystery book as well as a blog tour for the fourth book in the same series.
What did I read this week?
The Pastry Warlock was another read in the Broomstick Bakery series and was a fun shorter read about the younger brother. I liked the sweet friends to lovers romance in this one, but wish it had been a bit longer as I enjoyed reading about them.
Pumpkin Spice Pie-Jinks was a fun and cozy read and perfect for this time of year with the autumn theme. I already started the next book.
And I DNF’d How the Murder Crumbles, I liked the cookie theme, but didn’t like the main character as much. And the mystery felt very typical. It just didn’t grab my attention sadly.
This week I blogged about:
– Review: The Cupcake Witch by Laura Greenwood
– Review: Pets in Space 7 – part 1
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: For a Pixie in Blue by Cecilia Randell
– Review: Shifting Forms for Clumsy Felines by Laura Greenwood
Tours open for sign-up on Lola’s Blog Tours:
– Review Opportunity: Abby’s Pony Love by Susan Count
– Review Opportunity: Lily Makes a Way by Susan Count
– Review Opportunity: Scattered Legacy by Marlene M Bell – New!
– Blog Tour: Solitude Lake by Adele Darcy – 28 November till 18 December
– Blog Tour: Copper Waters by Marlene M. Bell – 2 till 15 January – New!
I hope you and your boyfriend get back to 100% soon! It seems like there are a lot of sicknesses going around this fall.

Thank you!
Yay for a good check up at the dentist and heading off that migraine. Glad your continuing to feel better and got a good jump on your month-end work. Too bad about the DNF, but best to move on if the story isn’t grabbing you. Both your other cozies do look fun and festive for the season.
Have a good week, Lola!

I was happy the check up at the dentist went well and that the migraine could be prevented. I was really sad I had to DNF that cozy mystery, but it just wasn’t grabbing me. Luckily the other two reads were great.
I hope you both feel better very soon – getting ill can really wipe you out. And glad you didn’t need any treatments at the dentist – that’s always a win. I hope the coming week is a kinder one, Lola:).
I was surprised how tired I still felt after getting ill, it can really wipe you out.
I’m glad you’re feeling better and had no cavities.

Thanks!
I’m so glad you’re feeling better!! And you were able to stop the migraine before it really started. That’s great. I could use a nap right now!
