sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This was such a full week, a lot happened. So last week I told you all that my boyfriend had a new job, well he actually ended up getting another job and decided to go for this one instead as he thinks he will like this job more. He starts next week, fingers crossed this is a good job for him! There was some preparing for his new job and we’ve been trying to move our sleeping schedule earlier as my boyfriend has to be up early for his job, so that’s been tiring.

On Tuesday I had to go to the dentist for my crown. Earlier this year a piece broke off one of my teeth which already has a root canal in it and it needed a crown now. During this appointment the dentist prepped my tooth for the crown and I have a temporary crown now. I have to go back in two weeks for the final crown. It was quite tiring and I am still afraid the temporary crown will fall out, but so far it’s still there.

It also was my birthday this week. I didn’t really do anything special though as I already lost time for work on Tuesday with the dentist visit. So I just did some normal work that day. I did buy some chocolates for myself, they are really good.

On top off that it’s been an awesome week for work. I put three new tours live on my site and am even working on another one. I am so glad for all the work. I also did some assistant work and work for my current and open tours.

What did I read this week?

Victim in the ValleyI Promise You

Victim in the Valley was the perfect read for my current mood. I was feel busy and a bit stressed and this book was so good it sucked me in and I wanted to keep reading. Lots of twists and turns and an engaging mystery in this one. It got a 5 stars rating form me. I love this series! I Promise You was a sort of epilogue like book and it had a new romance as well. It worked really well and had all those good feels of checking in with characters you’ve grown to care about. I also liked seeing Jackson get his romance as well with Hailey.

My current reads
My current reads are all good ones. I am still reading Silver Dawn Afire and I really like seeing where the story is going. I just started Unwanted Appeal. I’ve been enjoying this series so far and this is a great one so far. It’s a bit shorter I think than the first two books and it wraps up the romance of book 2. I like seeing Zach’s point of view in this one. I am listening to High Flyght. I am really enjoying my re-read of this series. This is the book were they meet Gus again and he joins the crew. I am also reading two non-fiction books which are both good ones.

This week I blogged about:

Review: Colony Under Siege Interstellar Plague by Veronica Scott
Review: Poison in the Pines by R.L. Syme

  1. Well other than the crown, it’s a great week! I hope he likes the new job and schedule. I have one crown and didn’t have problems. About 5 years after I got it, it needed to be redone though. Now it’s been maybe 15 years and it’s still fine. I only have about 5 cavities, none until I was 20. I’m an avid flosser and brusher, but I think I have good genes too.

    • That’s nice you have good genes. I think I have not so good genes when it comes to teeth as I have had many cavities already and now my first crown. I hope the crown will work well once it’s in place.

  2. I was scared to death my temporary crown would come off when I had one, too. It didn’t. 🙂 Yay for your boyfriend getting a job he prefers and yay for all the work you got done. Looks like you’re having some good reading and glad the epilogue book wrapped things up nicely for you.

    • Good to know I am not the only one whose scared it comes off. So far it’s staying put, so I am getting a bit more hopeful it will stay put. I really hope this job is a good one for my boyfriend.

  3. Wow. Good for your boyfriend snagging an even better job he think he’ll like more. That’s great! I’m also trying to adjust my sleeping schedule because of the kids going back to school soon. As you can imagine, the transition is awful, especially for someone like me who already has trouble sleeping.

    • It was awesome he actually got two jobs now after months of not getting anywhere. Sleep transitioning is awful, I hope the transitioning goes well for you. I managed to move my whole sleep schedule this week, it was tough, but at least now I can get started to getting used to this schedule.

    • Thank you! I hope my bf likes his new job. Dentist stuff really is tiring, just one more appointment next week and this crown is done at least.
