sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This was a pretty standard week, which was nice after the last few weeks. It had it’s ups and downs, but no weird things popping up or going wrong, so I count that as a win. Our new dishwasher arrived and it working great, yay!

It was a pretty productive week work wise too. I got a good amount of assistant hours done, which was nice. I am still a bit behind for one of my authors, but doing well for the others. And I am excited to have got a few new tours and events booked on Lola’s Blog Tours. After the few slower weeks I had, I am really excited to work on all these tours and hope this continues for a bit.

The weather has also been a bit better, it’s not really warm, but we had some sunny days which is nice. And some of the trees close by our house are starting to flower and I always like this time of the year when all the trees start getting green again or flowering.

I made some of these delicious mini cheesecakes again this week. They are so good! And handy to eat as well due to the smaller size. You can read my recipe here.

What did I read this week?

Of Kindness and Kilowatts The Trouble with Order

I couldn’t quite find what I wanted to read this week. Both of these were solid reads, but not quite what i was looking for. Of Kindness and Kilowatts had a fun new main characters, but I felt it lacked the impact from previous books. The Trouble with Order was a fun sweet romantic read, but it was a bit slow at the start. These two made for a great couple and I liked returning to the theme park.

This week I blogged about:

Review: Black Queen Shadow by Lidiya Foxglove
Review: The Protector by Jordan Ford
Review: The Rise of Shiroi Nami by S.J. Pajonas

    • I really like making the mini cheesecakes, they’re easy to eat this way and look great.

Thanks! I have some new tours coming soon as well πŸ™‚

  1. I’m so glad the dishwasher install went well. I had one installed when I was renting that never worked and they gouged the countertop as well. I had to call repair as they wouldn’t come do a correct install.
I hope this week continues to improve for you! At least you have mini cheesecakes to eat!

    • That sounds like a pain with how they didn’t install your dishwasher correctly. I am glad that our dishwasher install went smoothly.

The mini cheesecakes were delicious πŸ™‚

  2. I’m glad it was a better week. The mini cheesecakes look so good. Glad to hear the dishwasher works good. I haven’t had a dishwasher in 30 years because there are no hookups for them in my apartment.

    • That’s a shame you don’t have a hookup for a dishwasher in your apartment. Those few evenings we had to do all the dishes by hand sure made me grateful for having a dishwasher.

Thanks! The cheesecakes were really good.

    • I hope you’ll enjoy Of Kindness and Kilowatts!

We had to do the dishes by hand a few evenings and it took so much time, I am so happy to have a working dishwasher again.
