The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This week wasn’t a good week, it just didn’t go as smoothly. I just felt a bit down and struggled to get things done, everything just felt like it takes so much effort. I feel like this lockdown thing is finally getting to me. I think I just need to do some new things as every week just feels so similar. So I am trying to change things up by baking/ cooking new things, picking up books by new to me authors and new games. Hopefully that will help a bit.
The weather has been dreary this week, grey skies, windy/ stormy weather and even some rain. That definitely didn’t help my mood. It’s been cold too. I am looking forward to some spring. Usually I don’t mind winter as much, but everything just looks so dark and dreary and I am looking forward to some sun and the plants blooming and growing again.
I did get most of the important work I had done and work has been going okay, but the fact I haven’t gotten any new tours has got me down a bit. This business is always so up and down and it’s hard to deal with at times. I still have plenty of work for this month at least, so I am trying to staying focused on that. I sent out two media kits for future tours this week. I had two tours I organized that took place this week. And I worked on some assistant work as well. I finished a porject I was working on for one of my authors and it was nice to get that wrapped up.
I also spend some time doing my research for my new phone and finally ordered everything. Hopefully my research pays off and it all works fine. Fingers crossed.
Food corner
I tried a new recipe for oat bars. They have peanut butter, maple syrup, banana and oats and that’s about it. Then some chocolate on top. They taste great and are quite filling too.
I also made some mujadara, basically a type of fried rice with cumin in it and served with hummus. It was delicious.
What did I read this week?
Let’s Go Out was such a great read! This one really resonated with me and it was such a beautiful story and romance. Marketing Matters didn’t quite resonate with me, but it’s a decent read if you want an overview of some marketing techniques.

– Review: The Scry’s The Limit by Ada Bell
– Review: The Missing Branch by Kay MacLeod
– Review: The Disappearance of Emily by Elizabeth Pantley
What to expect next week on the blog:

– Lola’s Kitchen: Orzo with Pumpkin and Red Pesto Sauce Recipe

I think the transition from Winter to Spring is always the hardest, since you want the beautiful weather and growth but the winter just wont go away. Plus being stuck inside for a year sucks too, lol.
I have decided when it gets warmer to start breaking up my day by taking a walk. I need to start moving around again and just need to get out of the house to think, Might clear my head and make me feel better.
Those oat bars looks so yummy!
I hope this week is awesome for you, Lola! Happy Reading! xx

This year I am really feeling that, we had one week of this beautiful sunny weather and then winter returned and that made it even harder.
That sounds like a good idea to break up your day with a walk. It is nice to get out of the house for a bit even if just for a walk.
I am sorry it was a hard week. Dreary weather just adds to things and makes them worse. It sounds like you have a plan. Hugs.

In the wrong mood the dreary weather can really worsen things.
Bummer you have the blues right now and yes, the lockdown isn’t helping with that. Hopefully, your business will pick up again and the sun will cheer things. Having some milder days so I could air out the house, go for longer walks, and start my spring cleaning helped with that for me. Yum to those oat bars.
Glad one of your books was pretty good even if the other wasn’t.
Have a good week, Lola!

Thanks! I hope business will pick up and that we have some sunny weather too. The oat bars were really good.
I love the dreary, cloudy, rainy days more than Sunny days. I’ve been trying some new recipes too in order to keep busy.

In the right mood I can definitely appreciate the dreary days, but for now I would like some more sunny days. It’s nice trying new recipes.
Well I was happy to have sunny days this past week and I think rain always makes me feel more dreary. You have the right idea with trying some new recipes and books but that does take a bit of energy. I hope this week picks up for you!

That’s nice you had some sunny days the past week. Rain can really make me feel more dreary sometimes. That’s the downside of trying new things that it does cost energy, but if it goes well it also gives me energy at least.
My week went well enough. I’m not trying anything new right now. In fact, I tried some new barre workouts and I don’t like them, so I deleted them all from my March workout schedule. Lol. No thanks! Right now, I’m just trying to keep on chugging along. Gotta get through to summer…

Sometimes that happens too that you try new things and don’t like them. Sounds like a good plan to delete those exercises right away.
Sorry it’s not been a good week, I’ve found new things are making a difference to my sanity and does give me something else to focus on. I hope this week is better for you.

Trying new things can really help, I feel a lot better in that department now that I took the time to try some new things.
