The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This was a pretty decent week. I took Monday off, my first fully free day in months! It was nice to have a day off and I had a fun and relaxing day. I went for a walk, played some games, wrote a review and we watched an episode of Star Trek Discovery. We paused our watching of Star Trek The Next Generation, so we could watch the next season of Discovery. Discovery Season 2 is great so far, although I don’t really care for the whole Spock storyline yet.
On Tuesday I was working again and I did quite a lot of work the rest of the week. Some Lola’s Blog Tours work and a bunch of hours of assistant work. I also got the final version of my new cover reveal graphic for Lola’s Blog Tours which I pasted below, so you can see it. A big thanks to Michelle from Limabean Designs for creating it.
I tried out a new game called Islanders this week, which is a relaxing and addictive minimalistic city building game. I would definitely recommend it. And we played some more Outward.
I am still doing well with keeping up with my daily walks and the extra sun seem to help with my funk. Although I had some struggles later in the week again, I do feel like overall I am doing a bit better in general. The weather was pretty good this week too with lots of fun and most days were a pleasant temperature too.
I also spend some time in the kitchen this weekend. I made some Hummus again and I am surprised that I developed a liking for it. I tried tasting a bit a few times I made it and now I suddenly like it, which is great. I also made Katsu Sando for my boyfriend for lunch, which is pork chops with breadcrumbs on the outside prepared in the oven and then eaten on a sandwich with a sauce on it. I might try a tofu version next.
Here’s the link to the recipe for the Katsu Sando and here’s the link to the Tonkatsu sauce by the Just One Cookbook blog that I used.
I also want to say sorry that I haven’t been commenting back on other blogs as much lately. I do read every comment on my blog and reply to them. And I want to say thank you to everyone who visits my blog and those who leave comments. I just struggle with getting out of this funk and some days I just don’t have much energy or motivation or time left for blogging, so I do what I can. And hopefully soon I can do more blog visiting again. Anyway thanks for sticking with me, I really appreciate it!
What did I read this week?
Give up the Ghost was an awesome sequel and I really like this series and how the author expertly combines suspense, paranormal and romance. Purple Haze was a great sequel and I like how it wrapped of Lang and Dillon’s story.

Book Haul:
Doom and Bloom I got for review and I am very excited about the third book in this awesome series. I already started reading it. Murder is Messy I bought as I like the sound of it. It was only 99 cents which is also a plus.
Glad the outdoors and sunshine is pepping you up and, yay for a day off. The pork chop sandwich sounds good. I like to lightly bread them and then smooth a layer of applesauce on them after they come out of the oven (weird, I know).
Glad both your sequels were good reads this week.
The cover reveal graphic looks great.
Ah yes, good that you snagged the next book in HY Hanna’s series. I know how much you like it. Hopefully Murder is Messy will be a good one for you.
Have a good week, Lola!

It was a nice to have a day off. I probably should do that more often. That sounds interesting with the applesauce.
Thanks! I am really happy with how the cover reveal graphic turned out.
The next HY Hanna book was a good one and I hope I can get to Murder is Messy soon.
Delighted you had such a great day off… Do you think your depression might be aggravated by working too hard? I can’t help thinking that you should perhaps give yourself at least a full day off every fortnight. One of the problems for working for yourself is that you work too hard… I hope the coming week is a kind one, Lola.
I did think of that and it might contribute to it. But it’s hard to make enough time in a day to do work, household chores, make time for myself and have enough sleep. If I want to take days off as well, that means I have to do more work on the individual days, which is difficult to achieve. Finding a good work life balance and not working too hard is definitely one of the struggles of working for yourself.
Glad you enjoyed your Monday off work. My hours have changed at work and I’m home every Monday and Tuesday; I definitely fee more “me” because of it. Gotta have a good work/home life balance.

It’s hard to have a good work/ home life balance. That sounds nice you have two days home now that your hours at work have changed.
Glad to hear the sun seems to be helping. I hope you find a way out of your funk soon. It’s never fun being in that kind of mood.

Thanks I hope I can get out my funk soon. It’s a such a struggle, but I try to stay positive and hope I feel better soon. It’s nice to get some extra sun and I think it’s helping.
Glad you had a nice day off. Have a wonderful week! Happy Reading
Thanks!
Days off are a must truly if we want to stay sane! And I love walking outside too. Happy Sunday!
I have to try and take days off more regularly. I enjoy my walks outside.
I watched the Discovery season finale last night, can’t wait for the next season.
Have a great reading week
We’re almost finished with this season, I am glad to hear it’s getting another season!
I love Star Trek but haven’t watched any of the new ones. I’m glad you’re walking outside and getting some sun; the weather here has been beautiful too. It’s going to heat up this week tho. I love the new Cover Reveal – green is my favorite color. Have a great week!
Here is my Sunday Post

I watched most of the Star Trek series now, except for The Next generation (only watched the first season so far) and the Original series. Deep Space 9, Voyager, Enterprise and Discovery are all great. I think Deep Space 9 is probably my favorite one so far.
We got colder temperatures this week and quite a bit of rain.
Green is my favorite color too, which is why I picked it for both my blog and Lola’s Blog Torus design :).
Sounds like you had a nice day off! The new graphic looks great 🙂 Yay, I’m glad you like hummus now, it’s delicious! I hope you get out of your funk soon or at least feel a bit better <3
It was nice to have a day off and I am so happy with how the new graphic turned out :). I almost can’t believe I didn’t like hummus before, as now suddenly I really like the taste, I think it’s because I ate a lot of roasted chickpeas and got more used to the taste of them. I feel like slowly I am doing a little bit better, but I still have days or moments that a struggle. I hate this funk :(.
