Review: Hidden (Dragonlands #1) by Megg Jensen

Review: Hidden (Dragonlands #1) by Megg Jensen

Hidden (Dragondlands #1) by Megg Jensen Blurb: The mystery enshrouding Hutton’s Bridge is as impenetrable as the fog that descended at its borders eighty years ago. Each year, three villagers enter the mist searching for answers. No one ever returns. Then a dragon falls from the sky to the town square, dead—the first glimpse of an outside world that has become nothing more than a fairy tale to Hutton’s Bridge. Except to Tressa. Tressa grew up with Granna’s stories of the days before the fog fell. When Granna dies, leaving Tressa without any family, Tressa ventures into the fog herself, […]

Review: Faery Swap by Susan Kaye Quinn

Review: Faery Swap by Susan Kaye Quinn

Faery Swap by Susan Kaye Quinn Blurb: Warrior faery princes can be very stubborn. Especially when they possess your body. Fourteen-year-old Finn just wants to keep his little sister out of Child Protective Services—an epic challenge with their parentally-missing-in-action dad moving them to England, near the famous Stonehenge rocks. Warrior faery Prince Zaneyr just wants to escape his father’s reckless plan to repair the Rift—a catastrophe that ripped the faery realm from Earth 4,000 years ago and set it adrift in an alternate, timeless dimension. When Zaneyr tricks Finn into swapping places, Finn becomes a bodiless soul stuck in the […]

Happy New Year post!

Happy New Year post!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had a great New Years eve! And I wish you all the best and lots of good books for 2014! I spend new years eve at home and spend most of the evening reading. There where some nice fireworks after midnight and our rats actually seemed interested in all the fireworks although they didn’t like the close fireworks or the loud bangs and they where a bit skittish the whole day. This was the first New Years eve in our new house and I was happy to find out that we had a […]

Best books I read in 2013

Best books I read in 2013

As today is the last day of the year I want to end the year the same way I did last year, with a list of the best books I read this year. Actually this list contains all books I gave 5 stars this year. In total I have read 143 books this year, from those I gave 17 books a 5 star rating this year. Last year I had 26 books on this list. I think I have become even more difficult with dealing out those 5 stars. On the other hand I did gave 70 books a 4 […]

Review: Selling Scarlett (Love Inc. #1) by Ella James

Review: Selling Scarlett (Love Inc. #1) by Ella James

Selling Scarlett (Love Inc. #1) by Ella James Blurb: Elizabeth DeVille doesn’t belong at a party like this – one where the gowns cost more than her Camry and cigars run higher than her grad school utility bills. Dragged out of seclusion by her best friend Suri, Elizabeth is merely playing dress-up, rubbing elbows with a crowd that banished her troubled family years ago. Hunter West is tired. Tired of parties, tired of pretending, and tired of trying to right a wrong that haunts him every day. Bourbon heir and professional poker player by day, by night Hunter is gambling […]
