Dating and Dragons by Kristy Boyce

Dating and Dragons by Kristy Boyce

This was such a sweet and fun YA romance book with a D&D theme. I really liked reading about Quinn, she’s a likable and realistic character. Her romance with Logan was so sweet and I really liked seeing them grow closer and the author really wrote those falling in love vibes between them well. I liked the way the D&D campaign is part of the story, with enough details to get a feel for their D&D campaign.

Storm and Sea by Tereza Kane

This was such an awesome read. I liked the unique take on the mer as well as the cozy vibes, but the book could also get more dark and heavy in places. The balance between the uplifting cozy themes and the more emotional struggles was well done. The characters are all so well written and feel very alive, there is some well done mental health and dyslexic representation as well.

This was such a wonderful romantic read. I liked reading about Min and Lucia who felt like real people. I liked reading about them and they felt so relatable with how they had their own hopes, dreams, fears and struggles. I thought their romance was wonderfully written and I loved the way they communicated.

I loved this book and enjoyed every moment spent reading it. I love this fantasy world Lidiya Foxglove has created and it’s a joy to return to it for another story. I really liked both Alfred and Livonya and seeing their romance slow grow was great. I liked the found family/ team coming together vibes of this book and I can’t wait to read more about them. All the characters feel so real and I enjoyed reading about them all and seeing them interact with one another. There are plenty of exciting things going on and plenty sweeter cozies scenes as well.

I really like this series and this third book was another great read. I liked following Deandra as she gets caught up in another mystery, this one kept me guessing and I liked the reveal. I really like Deandra as a main character and enjoy reading about her. The pet sitting scenes are so fun as well as well as reading about her own pet dragon. The romance between Deandra and Cruz is so well done and they are so sweet and fun together and I always enjoy reading their banter.

Ghosts of the Provence by Janna Ruth

I really like this series and this book was one of my favorites. It kept me reading and I wanted to know how all the various plot and character related plot lines would play out. I really like Alix and how she treats the ghosts, there are some great scenes with her helping ghosts in this one and being there for Dix. I liked how the ghosts she’s helping plot line got resolved in this one. And there are some big events that impact future books. Really I can’t recommend this whole series enough.

I really enjoyed this book. I really like this author’s writing style, the way they write their characters and stories. Penny and Mateo were both such interesting characters and they felt so realistic. I especially could relate to Penny with her anxiety, those scenes felt very well written, but also a bit tough at times as I knew how she felt. I really liked reading about Penny and Mateo and there are so many sweet scenes with them. The donut shop and the small town setting were fun too. The side characters all felt realistic too and all the characters just really came to life.

I had such a great time reading this book. I really liked reading about Una and Varrie and seeing them figure out they loved each other and be there for the other. They are so supportive of each other they are and I liked how they talk about all these books they both read. I liked seeing this group all come together to work on the movie theater and it was fun to see that all play out. This book also was quite funny at times and made me laugh out loud a few times, it was just such a fun and cozy book to read. I really love this world and it’s such a joy to read these books. I hope you enjoy the second Kristy Boyce book too, I really like that series so far. I didn’t want to have to make hard decisions about which ones to include or not, so I just expanded it to a top 12 :).
