Today is the cover reveal for Beyond Reach (True Calling #2) by Siobhan Davis. This cover reveal is organized by Lola’s Blog Tours.
Now back on Earth, Ariana is caught in a dangerous crossfire between clandestine rebel organization Clementia and the power-hungry government. Refusing to divulge the location of the secret information entrusted to her by her father, she desperately tries to bargain for her Mom, Lily, and Cal’s rescue. But she’s fighting a losing battle, and the clock is ticking.
Conflicted by evidence of fiancé Cal’s apparent betrayal, she loyally defends him despite her concerns. As she grows closer to ex-boyfriend Zane, her heart is increasingly troubled.
When the stakes are raised, a succession of shocking revelations rocks her world, setting her on a path that will not only change her destiny but the fate of humanity.
Confronted by a memory so abhorrent comes a truth she would do anything to forget.
But some things just can’t be undone.
Beyond Reach is the gripping second novel in the True Calling trilogy, continuing the story of Ariana Skyee in the weeks after she arrives back on Earth.
My Cover Review:
This is such a beautifull cover, just liek the first cover in this series. I like how the girl is no staring upwards and how the planet in the sky is the same as on the True Caling cover, which leads me to think that is Novo. And the cover alreayd tells you that this book will take place back on earth. I like how the girl is surrounded by nature and is with her back to the viewer, I always prefer covers where you can’t see the model their face.
It’s a calm cover, but it also conveys so much, like how she’s standing alone and seems torn between where she is now and her life back on Novo. The cover also points out this is a sci-fi book, with the planet and the stars. The romance aspect isn’t too obvious, but with sci-fi covers I always think that if there’s a person on the cover that alreayd points to the importance of interpersonal relationships beside the sci-fi plot.
All in all I really like this cover, it’s pretty and it gives a feel of what to expect in this book!

We are almost back at the entry-point when Zane darts suddenly behind a tree, tugging me along with him. My back is flush to his chest, as his arms tighten around me. “What the …” His hand clamps over my mouth.
“Don’t speak out loud or move an inch. I’ve just spotted some mini-drones.”
“What the hell are mini-drones?”
“They’re government-deployed, low-level surveillance drones. I’d heard that the authorities were using them to identify Clementia sympathizers, but this is the first time I’ve seen them sniffing around here. This isn’t good. I’ll need to advise the War Council.”
My heart is pounding in my chest, my breathing labored, but I keep still and silent as instructed. Warm breath cascades over my neck, and my body tingles all over. Zane is pressed so snuggly behind me that I can easily detect all the hard, taut lines of his body, and I blush furiously. Resisting the urge to squirm, I spend an uncomfortable ten minutes locked in his embrace. His arms rest precariously close to the swell of my breasts, and I’m self-conscious as hell.
When he finally releases me, my entire body almost folds in on itself in relief. I look around at him, and his gaze is intense. My eyes narrow suspiciously, and he arches an eyebrow innocently. He may look angelic, but oh yeah, he knew what he was doing all right.
Planet Novo, nestled in space twelve hundred miles above the surface of the Earth, is the new home of 17-year-old Cadet Ariana Skyee. Confused by the government-sanctioned memory erase and distressed at her impending forced marriage and motherhood, Ariana’s plans for the future are thrown into complete disarray.
As the traumatic events within her family life enfold, Ariana grows increasingly alarmed at the authorities apparent pre-occupation with her and feels progressively more isolated and alone.
Her growing feelings for fellow Cadet Cal Remus intensify as the recently announced pageant, ‘The Calling’, gets underway. Struggling to comprehend the continuous, inexplicable dreams of the mysterious Zane, discovering the past helps shape her future, with devastating personal consequences.
