The 2015 Bookish Resolutions Challenge hosted by A Reader Lives A Thousand Lives and Because Reading is Better Than Real Life.
Every month on the 30th I will be doing my recap of that month. You can check out my goal post here
February Recap
- Accept no more than 1 book with a deadlines each month. I already failed this goal last month when I signed-up for two deadline books in March and in April. I did complete this goal for February and January. I had quite some deadlines for this and next month, although I finished most of those books already, I am just calling this one big failure as I can’t say no to deadline books sometimes.
- Read at least 3 (cozy) mysteries. No progress on this, still at zero cozy mysteries read.
- Read at least 3 historical romances. I read 2 historical romances so far! Yay this goal suddenly seems manegable. I read The Mine by John Heldt. It’s actually a bit of a crossover book with time travel and historical romance elements, but I thought the historical romance elements where prominent enough to count it as historical romance. And this month I read In for a Penny by Rose Lerner, which was a lot of fun, my review will be up later this week.
- Read at least 20 review books this year. I am doing great for this goal, I read 19 review books so far! Almost there!
- Organize at least 30 tours with Lola’s Blog Tours. I organized 13 tours so far, so almost halfway this goal! I already have one more tour booked but that is for far away and doens’t have a banner yet.
I’m kind of bad with deadlines lately :/ Hopefully, I shall improve.. & I’m glad you’re almost at your goal! Only one book away – I’m about 30% at my goal, it’s to read 250 books this year. I know, I read a lot – it’s mainly because I don’t work anymore so I have a lot of free time now, just school xD Thank you for sharing!

I do well with the deadline themselves, but I accept too many books with deadlines, luckily I have most of them read for now, but April was a bit of a busy month getting all those deadline books read early in advance. Beside doing well with my review books goal I also am doign well for my goodreads challenge having read a total of 25 books, alreayd, while my goal is 55. I think 120 books a year is the most I ever reached and even then I also read a lot of novella’s to get that high. Even with just school I think reading so much is quite the achievement.

You’re absolutely right with the deadlines, I should do the same ! Your challenges are looking good 😉

That first goal just wasn’t doable and I am actually doign better than expected keepign up with all my deadline reads, so I don’t mind failing that goal too much.

You are doing great even with the one. I have been doing very good except for one also 🙂 but it’s a lot accomplished! Good for you!!! 🙂

I guess there is always one goal that’s the hardest, it’s a shame I already failed one goal, but I am not feeling too bad about it as I’ve read a lot of good books. And I never expected to do so well on my review books and tours goals!

I don’t have a lot of bookish resolutions this year. Really the only one I made was to keep track of all the books I read this year and post it on the last day of the year. So far so good and I’ve read 34 books so far this year. I’m hoping to read 200 books this year but I don’t know if that’s going to happen.

Oh that’s a nice amount of books you read so far! I think I have read a total of 25 books this year so far and my goal was to read 55 books this year, so I am doing pretty well with that goal as well. I mostly use goodreads to keep track of the books I read each year as it’s nice to see the overview at the end of the year with which books you read. Good luck with your reading goal!
You are doing better restricting your date commitment reads than me and nice job doing all the review reads.

I accepted quite some deadline books in the past month, but I’ve been able to keep up with them so far. I am currently readign a deadline book and am still waiting on review copies of two more. I am happy with how much review books I read so far this year, I am really hoping I can make a nice dent into that pile.

You’re doing so good! I’m doing okay – though one of my goals I’ve kind of decided o don’t want to do anymore… No idea how to handle that! LOL. Good luck moving forward

Well I sort of dropped my first goal, I still include it in my posts, but just mention how badly I failed, lol. So maybe you can just mention behind the goal that you stopped doing that one?

You are doing great with most of the goals! I didn’t really make any this year but I am being a lot more aware of what books I add to my review pile and what I buy. So I’m not feel overwhelmed by my stacks which is great.

This is my first year writing my goals down like this and it’s been fun seeing how I kept up with them, or not in the case of the deadline goal. I should’ve made a goal to limit the amount of new review books I accept, I could use a smaller to read pile.

Awesome work! The only deadline books I have are the audios I review and they are only like once every two months. Now eARCs on the other hand, I have a click problem there. Our book clubs love cozy mysteries so I have read a few of those lately. I think you will make quick work of that category. Good luck in April!

I accept way too many review books with deadlines and I had two beta reads with deadlines month. Ah well I am happy I don’t have to worry about that goal anymore, lol. I think I will enjoy cozy mysteries, but as it’s a genre I don’t read often I don’t see those books often. I do grabbed a few free cozy mysteries thanks to bookbub, so I am hoping to give those a try soon!
Yey Lola! I can’t believe you’re so close to completing two of your goals!
I am hoping I can complete at least one of them this month :).
