What happened this week?
Another rough week. Luckily we haven’t seen any signs of the mouse for two weeks now, but we’re still dealing with the aftermath. Now that the worst of the initial panic is over I actually just felt worse and way more anxious this week. I keep being afraid the mouse will return and we have to start cleaning from scratch again. And it’s just been so stressful and tiring dealing with this. We also haven’t checked the attic yet and still have to clean that and make sure the mouse isn’t there and can’t get in there anymore.
We have made some very good progress with cleaning, not everything is done yet, but we finally tackled the small storage room where the mouse spend a lot of time and cleaned that fully as well as a bunch of the stuff that was in there. We also threw a lot away and some other things we just put in bags as we ran out of time and energy to clean it. Still a lot to do, but we had to take a break from cleaning as I got my period migraine.
My mom has been really struggling since her first chemo of this round and has been feeling very sick, which was hard to hear. She responded really well to the previous chemo’s and didn’t have many side effects, but this time she felt really sick for days. I called her one morning and we also talked about whether I could come and visit, but the timing with the chemo’s and other things didn’t work out yet, maybe later.
Then I got my period migraine at the end of the week, which is always a struggle. I also managed to fit in some author assistant work somehow. I’ve been struggling getting enough entertainment in my days and I am having trouble getting into the books I am reading as my mental state feel still so off. I actually picked up a re-read as that was easier to get into.
What did I read this week?
Homicide and Halo-Halo was great and Alpaca and Apparitions too, but A Fall to Remember was a DNF.
