Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

Today I choose as my WoW pick:

Camp Boyfriend (Camp Boyfriend #1)
by J.K. Rock
Release Date: 2 July 2013

Blurb from Goodreads: The summer of her dreams is about to get a reality check.

They said it couldn’t be done, but geeky sophomore Lauren Carlson transformed herself into a popular girl after moving to a new school halfway across the country. Amazing what losing her braces and going out for cheerleading will do. Only trouble is, the popular crowd is wearing on Lauren’s nerves and she can’t wait to return to summer camp where she’s valued for her brain instead of her handsprings. She misses her old friends and most of all, her long time camp-only boyfriend, Seth. This year she intends to upgrade their relationship to year-round status once she’s broken up with her new, jock boyfriend, Matt. He doesn’t even begin to know the real her, a girl fascinated by the night sky who dreams of discovering new planets and galaxies.

But Matt isn’t giving her up without a fight. As he makes his case to stay together, Lauren begins to realize his feelings run deeper than she ever would have guessed. What if the guy she thought she was meant to be with forever isn’t really The One? Returning to Camp Juniper Point was supposed to ground her uprooted life, but she’s more adrift than ever. Everything feels different and soon Lauren’s friends are turning on her and both guys question what she really wants. As summer tensions escalate, Lauren wonders if she’s changed more than she thought. Will her first big discovery be herself?

A week or so ago I read the prequel to this book and since then I can’t wait to read this book. I really like the camp setting and it really makes me want to go on a camp and have fun too. Also the prequel was really cute and I just want to read more of that. The blurb sounds like a lot has changed since Camp Kiss and i am looking forward to find out what has changed and how Lauren and Seth are now. Although the fact that there will be a ove triangle does make me a little bit less enthousiastic about this book, after reading the prequel I know I want to read this book too. Luckily I don’t have to wait that long anymore for this book to be releashed!

You can add this to your to-read list on Goodreads

You can pre-order it here:

    • I also loved Camp Kiss, it really sets the mood for this series and I can’t wait till my pre-ordered copy is finally here and I can read it. I hope we will both love Camp Boyfriend, luckily we don’t have to wait that long anymore!

    • The prequel is free for donwload on the publishers website, I updated my post and included the link. The prequel is a great way to see if you like the writing style. I was doubting whether I would like this series, but after reading the prequel I can’t wait to read Camp Boyfriend!

    • Yay! Thanks for stopping by!
I updated my post and included the link to the free Camp Kiss download in my post, I have no idea why I forgot to include that.

    • Have you read the free prequel? It’s great and since I have read the prequel I keep thinking about this book, I can’t wait to read it!
