The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This was a bit of a mixed week, some good things and also some things that didn’t go as well. It felt a bit like a struggle mentally at times and there were like a whole lot of these little things that popped up that somehow just made the week feel messier and fuller than I had wanted.
It was my birthday day this week. I received some money and gifts and besides that mostly had a normal day at home. I had bought some gluten free cake for myself that I combined with whipped cream and strawberries that turned out great. And I also had bought some gluten free cookies with some cinnamon and other spices that were great.
One of best parts of this week was the fact that I had almost no gut symptoms at all for a few days. The dish I had made for dinner in combination with the enzymes left my gut feeling super calm and even the bloating went down. I can’t remember the last time I felt that good gut wise. Sadly after that I made another dish and it all came right back, which was a struggle to deal with it again after the few days of feeling so good. The good news is that this confirms that it’s something in dinner that is the problem and that my other meals are fine now, so that is still progress. I currently think the red bell pepper might be the problem and will try to confirm that. I tried taking some other enzymes that help with digesting bell pepper and that helped a bit, but my gut still didn’t feel as good as when I ate the other dish.
And at the end of the week I had my usual period migraine again. Luckily the pain was very mild and pretty manageable with my painkillers, but the brain fog was really bad. It’s just so hard to do anything when my brain feels like that.
What did I read this week?
This week I blogged about:
– Review: Nobody’s Baby by Olivia Waite
– Review: Books, Iced Coffee & a Side of Dragons by Amanda Lovelace
– Review: The Dog Park Murders by Angela Barker
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: The Sunday Table by Lila Blake
– Review: Sorcerous Plates by Tao Wong
– Review: Justice is an Illusion by Laura Greenwood

Ugh at the migraine — but hopefully you’re through that and doing alright now!
And happy belated birthday!
I am doing alright now, but I did get a bad headache this week.
Yay for getting more of the food stuff figured out. Sorry about the migraine again. I get the mental issues messing with being able to do things. I’m in a mental fog state right now with the stress from my dog’s health, so I totally get it! I hope we both have a good/better week.

It takes so much time to figure out all the food stuff, but I keep reminding myself that I am making progress. The mental brain fog state is so annoying and makes it so hard to do anything. I hope things improve for you and your dogs soon.
Happy birthday! I’m glad you enjoyed your cake 🎂
Thanks for sharing your week, happy reading.
Thank you!
Happy birthday. I hope you can figure out what is upsetting your gut. The cake sounds good.
Thanks! It’s a lot of different things that upset my gut, which is what makes it so difficult to figure out.
Happy birthday! It will sadly take time but you are finding things that work and eventually you will feel better more of the time.

I had never imagined this would take so much time, but it really is a long process. And I do really hope that eventually I will feel better more of the time.
Happy Birthday!! Woah, Sea of Broken Masks looks really good! I’m sorry you had such a rough week, though. 🙁
Sea of Broken Masks is free, if you want to check it out, I really enjoyed it.
Almost like a birthday present to get a few days with no gut issues. I’m so glad you are making steps- even a little at a time- toward figuring out what foods are the problem and the enzymes are helping. Yay for the cake and strawberry treat.
Happy belated Birthday, Lola!
It definitely felt like a birthday present to have a few days without any gut issues. I have to keep reminding myself that I am making progress with the gut issues, but it’s so tiring and demotivating sometimes figuring it all out.
A belated Happy Birthday Lola – and how lovely that your birthday treat didn’t trigger your gut issues. But boo that they came back anyway! And you have my sympathy for the migraine – they are so tiring. I hope the coming week is a better one.
Thank you! It was nice to find a birthday treat I was able to eat without issues. It was a shame the gut issues picked up again later, it will still take some figuring out what I can eat and how much of it. The migraine was tiring.
