sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This was a decent week, the weather was a lot cooler and it was more comfortable in the house and outside because of it. I got some nice walks, which was nice. And I saw a deer from close by, the first time I’ve seen a deer from so close by. I knew that lived around here, but hadn’t seen one before, so that was great.

It was a pretty calm week, but I did struggle mentally with some anxiety and feeling rushed. I got some errands run, did some cleaning and I did a bit of assistant author work for the author I work for. I tried some glutenfree rice noodles with dinner that tasted pretty good, so nice to find another noodle I can eat. Haven’t made much progress figuring out what’s causing my bloating despite trying a few things.

What did I read this week?

The Pilgrimage of Primrose HoneychurchGoblin Fruit

I also finished a Dutch nonfiction book called Zes Miljoen Stappen, there’s an English version of it as well titled Six Million Steps. I really liked it.

This week I blogged about:

Review: Love and Blueberries by Vivian Lace
Review: Epilogue of an Epitaph by A.C.F. Bookens
Review: The Inn at the Foot of Mount Vengeance by Chiara Bullen

  1. Sorry about your anxiety, I know from experience that sometimes it just flares and it can be super frustrating. Excited about new noodles!! that is great 🙂
Hope you have a great, low to no-anxiety week ahead.

It definitely it annoying how anxiety can flare up sometimes like that. The new noodles were so good and it’s nice to have another type of noodles that I can eat.

  2. It has been cooler here too – although not as much as they promised and we’ve had a lot of strong sunshine and high winds. How lovely to see a deer up close – they tend to be quite nervous, so you were lucky. I hope the coming week is less stressful anxiety-wise, Lola.

We had some strong sunshine too, but luckily it didn’t get as warm last week. This week is warmer again. I felt very lucky to see that deer from close by, it was such a special moment.

  3. I understand the anxiety, you know I’ve posted that I’m constantly on the edge of a cycle in my brain with my dogs right now. Was doing fine yesterday until suddenly sitting in the movie theater I got a reminder for some reason of my dogs and started worrying again. Ugh. We had a couple cooler days this week, but before and after we had some horrible heat! Today is a hot one again too. Here’s hoping you and I can have a less anxious week!

Anxiety can be such a struggle, some days you’re fine and then the next you’re not even though nothing changed. Sorry to hear about your anxiety about your dogs and the hot weather.

  4. Nice to hear you found another noodle you can eat. I’m glad it cooled down a bit. It’s still really hot here right now for the next couple of months. 113F/45c

I am glad I found another noodle I can eat and the cooler weather has been nice. Oof that sounds really hot where you live.
