sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This was a bit of a weird week, with so many ups and downs. Then I had an smooth easy day and then the next was a struggle, my mood was all over the place. We tried replacing our washing machine and dishwasher faucets again as they kept dripping a very small bit and we had bought a new y-piece as the old one wasn’t looking too good and we thought that might be the problem. The new y-piece we connected without issues, but one of the faucets seal was leaking even worse than before, so we had to redo that right away. And even after replacing the one faucet the other was still leaking, so we still have to redo it again sometime, but ran out of time and energy. It did seem to improve a bit over the next few days, so not sure what’s up there, but we’ll keep an eye on it. It’s been good getting the knowledge on how to do this, but it’s so tiring doing this sort of thing.

Besides that it was another very warm week, with a few days that got quite hot. Not quite as bad as the previous heatwave, but it was again not a very nice week temperature wise. Since Friday it got a bit cooler and next week should be cooler again.

I also made some rice porridge, I could only eat a very small portion and even then got some gut symptoms, but it did turn out really well and was tasty. My boyfriend ate the rest of it. I’ve been struggling a bit trying to figure out what’s still causing my bloating, without much success so far.

We also got in a nice walk once the weather got cooler to a nature rich place close by, which was nice.

What did I read this week?

Dog Park MurdersSecond Chance with BastetA Wreck of Witches

I also read Witch Way Out, a prequel for the Spelltide Bay Mystery series by Natalie Summers and am now reading book 1.

This week I blogged about:

  1. There are so many little things around my house I should be able to do. But I was so used to being able to call my stepdad to help that now I just want to call someone and pay them. I’m glad you guys are able to figure out how to fix things, even if it is stressful. I can totally understand that! I hope you do get a cooler week and hopefully less stress. And the bloating thing I’m sure is frustrating as you try to figure it out.
