sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This was a bit of a calmer week, but I still didn’t fully good or relaxed and still struggled mentally and felt tired. I got a bunch of smaller things done, I got some cleaning around the house done and ran some errands. I also got a longer walk in, which helped me relax a bit, but I also overdid it a bit and had some muscle pain to deal with. We had some warmer days later in the week, luckily not as warm as the recent heatwave we had, but it’s still way warmer than I want it to be and our living room gets really warm.

I am still trying to figure out some more things about what I can eat and what is causing the bloating as that’s the one symptoms I still haven’t gotten rid of. I have a few things I want to try swapping out, but only just started with this, so not sure yet what’s working.

What did I read this week?

  1. ooh, I liked Legends and Lattes! I had to read Arsenic and Adobo because of the dachshund, and it was good, so I will probably read the next one in the series. Yay for a calmer week. It was mostly for me as well. But I am struggling emotionally with worrying about my dogs. Even when I know it does no good to sit and worry, my brain won’t shut it off. So I feel you on that aspect of the week.

I already bought the next book in the series as I really liked Arsenic and Adobo. I will have to get Legends & Lattes in novel form eventually as I feel the graphic novel didn’t quite have depth I had hoped for.

  2. Sounds like a nice busy week. I haven’t been on line for almost a week and a half between a power outage from a bad storm and being sick. Glad things are going well with you.

    Have a good week, Lola!

  3. I enjoyed Murder by Memory. I’m waiting until December for the audio of the newest Annette Marie. The next 6 weeks or so will just be HOT here. I try to stay inside mostly but there is still dog walking and gardening and yardwork.

I hope to listen to the sequel to Murder by Memory soon as I really enjoyed it. I hope you’ll enjoy the audio for the newest Annette Marie once it releases. Sorry to hear you’re doing with the heat as well. I hope you can keep your house a bit cool.

  4. Sorry you’re still struggling with the heat – so many houses in the northern hemisphere have been built to retain the heat because of our cold winters, which is something of a disaster now we’re having to cope with properly hot summers! Let’s hope it gets cooler in the coming weeks.

Yeah I definitely feel our house is built more for retaining the heat, which is nice in the winter, but not as nice with the heat. I think next weekend it should cool down here again.
