sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This was a tiring week, it really hit me how tough the last month or so has been with the big formatting job as well as figuring out what I can eat or not with my gut. I just felt tired and anxious this week and then I got a bad period migraine at the end of the week.

I did make some more progress with figuring out what I can eat. I’ve found some breads now that work and I have bought a few more to try out. I also found a vegan ice cream that didn’t give me symptoms, which made me happy.

I went out for a nice walk with my partner this week, which was a lot of fun. We’ve been having some beautiful spring weather and everything is looking green and a lot of plants are flowering.

And there was a big cozy fantasy books sale going on for one day, so I bought some new ebooks and audiobooks during that.

What did I read this week?

Pint of no ReturnSecond Time's CurseThe Corpse by the Creek

All of these were solid 4 star reads and really enjoyed them. I also finished Three Tales of Gabe and Rathna, which was an extra for The Fossil Door and was a great read with more about the characters.

This week I blogged about:

Review: The Pawful truth by Miranda James
Review: Shifter’s Thunder by Carol Van Natta
Review: Flipping Hearts and Homes by Chris Zett

Hurrah for vegan ice cream! Sorry to hear about the period cramps, but it sounds like you were able to enjoy a nice time outdoors this week with your partner. I had some cramps as well this week and just like an aversion to eating food which is so weird. Cramps are no joke but I hope you are all better soon!
    Have a lovely week ahead!

I am so glad I found a vegan ice cream that agreed with my gut. The cramps are not fun, but I also have migraines and brain fog when I have my period.

  2. Glad you’re finding some things to eat, even as you have to keep doing the trial and error. Sorry about all the migraines. I wish there was some way to completely prevent them from starting! I’m behind on commenting, I think I say that every week? lol. But summer is coming and I plan to get all caught up! Love the title Pint of No Return. Have a good week!

I am glad it’s getting easier as I know better what I can eat and what not, but then sometimes I think something should be okay and it isn’t or I want to try something new and that’s always a risk. I also wish there was a way to prevent the migraines, maybe I should ask my new doctor about it once. I also am behind on commenting. Pint of No Return was great and I love that title.

  3. After the tiring last few weeks, glad you got the big job done and could go out for a lovely fresh spring walk. Yay for finding an ice cream you can eat, too. That will be great as the days get warmer.

    Have a good week, Lola!

It sure will be nice to have an ice cream I can eat with the warmer weather. And it’s been such a relief to get the big job done.

It is getting easier now that I know better what I can eat and what not, but the whole process has been so tiring and difficult. That’s rough your daughter had to go through that process as well.
