sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This was a tiring week. I got a lot of work done finishing up the big formatting project I was working on and that’s mostly done now. Just might have to make a few more small changes. It felt good to have that done and I plan to take it easier the next few weeks.

I also made some progress figuring out which breads I can eat and I have found a few that I can eat 1 slice of without symptoms and some others I can actually eat more slices of, so that’s good and I have a few more breads I want to try. Dinner is also getting easier to know which foods I can eat and what not, so that’s some progress there as well. I did end up getting some symptoms after eating a nut mix that I thought was safe, but guess some of the nuts in there didn’t agree with my gut. Some days I am feeling hopeful and encouraged at how far I’ve come and other days I just feel frustrated and tired about the whole struggle.

I got some nice walks in as well as another nice bike ride. We also had some very hot days, which was a bit much so suddenly as my body doesn’t deal well with warm weather and I overheated when I went outside as I wasn’t dressed cool enough for the weather.

What did I read this week?

Burial of BonesThe Mating GameThe Fossil DoorLost in France

This week I blogged about:

– Review: An Introvert’s Guide to Life and Love by Lauren Appelbaum
– Review: A Poisonous Pour by Maddie Day
– Review: A Mythical Case of Homicide by Melissa Erin Jackson

  1. I feel your frustration! Before I completely nailed exactly which foods were making me ill – I found it a depressing business. After all, when we eat, we expect to feel energised and better. Best of luck zeroing in on exactly what disagrees with your particular gut biome, Lola. And congratulations on getting the formatting job done. I hope the coming week is a good one.

Sorry to hear you had to go through that as well figuring out which foods were making you ill, it really is a depressing and frustrating process.

  2. I hate what a struggle it is trying to figure out diet issues. But I think you’re making good progress! I can’t wait to see your review of the Lana Ferguson book, I need to read that one! I’ve got to work on outlining and hopefully writing a sequel to my first book this summer. Then I’ll be having you format for me again! Hope you have a good week!

I never realized just how tough this process would be, but I am glad I am making progress. I hope you enjoy the Lana Ferguson book, you have read more of her books already right? This was the first book I read by her, it was a solid read, although not quite what I had expected. That’s exciting you’re planning the sequel for your book!

It really is so much work and effort. I know I am making progress, but it sure takes a lot. I definitely will take a break before taking on more projects.
