The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
I was still struggling a bit with my body aches after the migraines and pain from last week, but it slowly improved throughout the week. I also continued to figure out what I can eat and what not. I made a dish for dinner for a few evenings that I was sure should be safe, but something about it still upset my digestive system and I had even worse bloating for a few days.
I’ve been struggling a bit mentally this week and it took some time to improve and sort some things out. I finally DNF’d a book I was reading as I realized it was making me feel annoyed every time I read it. Also started a re-read, which has been good. I had some nice walks and the spring weather has been lovely here.
Besides that I worked on signing up for a new doctor as our current one no longer works for us due tome changes they made that means I can no longer submit questions online. So I stopped by and got the paperworks we need to complete for the new doctor and made an introduction appointment for next week. It’s a hassle dealing with this, but hopefully this new doctor will be better.
What did I read this week?
Tea & Treachery at the Infinite Pantry was a DNF sadly, the other two were good reads.
This week I blogged about:
– Review: Cheddar Off Dead by Julia Buckley
– Review: My Orc Next Door by Veronika Kane
– Review: The Coffee House Witch & The Unwelcome Guest by Ariana Jade
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: Viscounts & Villainy by Allie Therin
– Review: Sailor’s Jewel by Celia Lake
– Review: The Truth About Justice by Laura Greenwood

A bit of a mixed week. Bummer the new dish caused troubles for you, but glad you were getting over the migraine. Good that you were able to put aside a book that wasn’t working for you and take up one you could enjoy.
Have a good week, Lola!
It sure was a mixed week, the recovery after the migraines took a while this time. I had wished I DNF’d that book earlier as I kept trying and even made it to 60%.
I’m going to have to switch doctors too as I just switched to one that is at my school district’s clinic and now I’m changing districts. Sorry about all the issues with the migraine. My clerk was out at the beginning of the week because of that. When a book is annoying me I know it is time to DNF, so glad you were able to get into a reread after that to save your reading! Hope this is a good week for you!

Sorry to hear you have to switch doctors too with you changing districts, hopefully your new doctor is a good one. I have gotten better at DNF’ing books, but this one took me 60% before I set it aside. The re-read was a good decision and really helped, almost done with that one.
You have my profound sympathy over the ongoing issues around your migraines. I suffered from the time I was in my mid-teens until I went through the menopause and after that – they went away. But I recall the crippling pain and the days it took to recover afterwards. I hope the new dr can help more effectively. Glad that two of the books you read were enjoyable – and sorry about the DNF. Hope the coming week is a better one, Lola.
The migraines were a pain and then there’s the recovering from them too. Your comments always make me feel hopeful that mine also disappear after menopause, especially as they often seem linked to my cycle.
Sorry you are struggling. I have been devouring old series as I am finding comfort in the familiar.
I really needed the comfort of a re-read, it definitely was the right decision.
I hope you feel better this week. After moving to North Carolina in 2015, it has taken a bit of trial and error to find a doctor we like. Luckily she is young enough that hopefully she will be around for awhile. For my daughter with so many conditions we have collected specialists over the years and it took time to find the right ones.

I am hoping that might be the case with our new doctor too that they are young enough that we can stay there for a while if we like the doctors. That’s good you found the right specialists for your daughter, but I can definitely imagine how much effort it took to get there, that’s one of the reasons I dislike medical stuff it always takes so much time and effort.
I hope the new doctor is a good fit for you.
Thanks I hope so too!
Sending good vibes your way for the new doctor! Hope you have a good week.
Thank you, I hope the new doctor is a good one.
