sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This week was another rough one. We were both quite tired from the stressful appointment from last week, so that took us a while to recover from that. I’ve been sleeping more this week and still feeling tired.

Then on Monday I started with these medicines that are reducing my stomach acid and the doctor thinks that should help with my bloating, instead I got worse bloating as well as a whole bunch of side effects. I got everything from headaches, feeling warm almost all the time (even tough it has been cold here), to more hunger, being even more tired and I looked pale and tired too. Then the symptoms got worse the longer I took the medicine and I was just not feeling good, so I stopped with that again. I tried to contact the doctor to see how to proceed, but didn’t manage to get in touch yet, so will do that next week.

My computer noise has gotten worse again and we bought two fans to replace the ones we didn’t do last time, I really hope this resolves the issue as I can’t use my computer without wearing earplugs as I am very sensitive to noise.

What did I read this week?

I also finished the nonfiction book A Trip into a Dyspraxic Person’s World.

This week I blogged about:

Review: Stories From the Deep by Claudie Arseneault
Review: Can’t Spell Treason Without Tea by Rebecca Thorne

  1. I’m sorry it was such a difficult week with the medicine not working. My daughter has gone through many iterations of medications to balance them and resolve her symptoms, and even then sometimes things change. I hope you find a good balance.

It’s just so tiring and difficult to deal with it all. I just hope I find something that helps with the bloating soon as it’s so uncomfortable to deal with and now having the medicine make it worse, was just so difficult. Sorry to hear your daughter had such a struggle getting the right medications and balance them as well.

  2. So sorry the new medication caused more trouble than help this week; that sounds so frustrating. I hope next week is much kinder to you and you find a solution that works. You definitely had a productive reading week, though—some great titles in that pile!

It really was frustrating and I really hope I can find a solution that works soon as it’s been so tough dealing with this.

It really was rough to have the medication not work and give all those side effects. Sadly the doctor has no clue what’s the problem. I still have a few ideas of things I want to ask they test for to see if that’s the cause.

I called the doctor this week and she has no ideas other than a diet that might not work and will probably be pricey, so might just see if the internet can help out with that.

  3. Ugh, that’s so stressful when a medication causes more issues instead of solving them. I hope you can get that figured out this week. Also hope the fan switch out will solve that problem too. I’ve been so busy I’m late getting back to comment. Hope this week has maybe been better for you!

It really was super stressful having the medication cause even more issues and still being no closer to solving this. The fan switch out did not work sadly, but we did finally figure out the cause.
