sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

Happy holidays if you’re celebrating!

This was quite the busy week at the start and then calmed down a bit. We replaced my computer fan on Tuesday hoping it would resolve the annoying whirring noise I’ve been dealing with. My computer is way quieter, which is nice, but strangely enough replacing the fan resolved another noise I didn’t even notice anymore, but not the new whirring noise. We tried replacing a second fan, but my computer gave an error and said the fan wouldn’t work, that also didn’t resolve the whirring noise, so at least we got to test that theory before we put the old fan back in that place. We still have a few ideas to try, but put that off till next week. At least with the other noise gone the new noise is less bothersome and I can at least use my computer more again.

I had a nice walk with my boyfriend in the evening and we walked through the neighborhood looking at the lights people has strung up outside. There was way more decorations outside in this town than in the place we previously lived and it was nice walking by and seeing all the festive lights.

I called both my mom and my boyfriend’s mom this week. I thanked my mom for the Christmas money she sent. And chatted with my boyfriend’s mom about various topics. I already spend some of the Christmas money I got on new video games and some audiobooks.

We had a quiet Christmas and mostly stayed at home relaxing. We had some really cold weather and we noticed there is still some wind coming into our noise from some small gaps, hopefully I can resolve that later as it was hard to keep it warm with so much wind and cold temperatures.

My best of 2025 have started and the one about my favorite ebooks and favorite audiobooks are now live.

It was nice to have a relaxing Christmas. I hope we can resolve the computer issues, at least for now I can use it again.

  1. I hate getting computer problems. Sometimes I can fix them but others I cannot. Hopefully you can fix it. Sounds like you had a good Christmas. I had a full house here in my tiny apartment.

I agree computer problems are the worst as computers are so complicated and it’s hard to figure out what’s causing it and resolve it. It was a nice Christmas. I hope you enjoyed your full house.

At least the noise is less even if I didn’t fix the new noise. I always enjoy seeing the festive lights and this town really had a lot of them, which was fun. I enjoy joining in the top 10 posts, I appreciate you hosting it again 🙂

  2. It sounds as if you had a really cosy Christmas together. And lovely to be able to walk around the town and enjoy the lights. A pity about the whirring noise and you weren’t able to completely sort it out and I feel your pain regarding the draughts – when the temperature drops and the wind gets up, our back door moans and cold air rushes in, no matter how we try to stop it! A very Happy New Year to you, Lola:).

The walk around town was really nice and we saw so many pretty lights. I hope we can figure out what’s causing the whirring noise, at least the computer is quieter in general now. Sorry to hear you also struggle with draughts from a door, it’s not comfortable to have cold air rushing in. We have this strip around the door that helps, but it doesn’t seem to fully block all wind, but I want to try and replace a piece that is doing worse than the rest and hope that helps.
