Sunday Post #673

sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

I went to have lunch with my sibling on Tuesday and we had a good time catching up and eating some good food. I was quite tired after that and it was nice to have some calmer days after that. We also got a few small things around the house done, which was nice to get done.

My blog issues persist and I didn’t really look much into it this week. I did get fewer emails about my blog being down, so that’s good, but I still experience issues and have to load only 1 page at a time and reload them often if the page doesn’t load.

My mom’s surgery went well and they removed most of the cancer, but she did end up back in hospital after some complications and needs to have another surgery next week to fix that.

What did I read this week?

One Sharp StitchContracts & Cats

Both of these were good ones. I also DNF’d two books, which I didn’t list here.

This week I blogged about:

Review: Wanted Brooding Man Tragic Past by Lidiya Foxglove
Review: Twinkling Tree Trouble by Iris March
Review: The Coffee House Witch & The Hangover Potion by Ariana Jade

What to expect next week on the blog:

– Review: No Cats Allowed by Miranda James
– Review: Thaumaturgic Tapas by Tao Wong
– Review: The Cherry Dryad’s Blossom by Laura Greenwood and Ariana Jade

How was your week?

  1. Glad they were able to get most of your mom’s cancer out. I hope the next surgery takes care of the next issue as well. When I tried to click the link in the email for your blog to get to this post, I got to an error page. But I was able to get here with your link on the Caffeinated Reviewer Sunday post thankfully! I hope that you have a good week!

I am glad the surgery goes well, now let’s hope the next one goes well too.

It’s such a pain the blog issues. The same links sometimes work and sometimes don’t. Maybe I have some more time this week to look into it. I still have a few things I want to try. Thanks for persisting and being able to visit.

  2. I’m delighted that the surgery managed to get most of your mother’s cancer and I hope the coming surgery puts right the other issue. And it’s always lovely when you can get and give support to other family members at such a stressful time – so good to have a meal with your sibling. Hope the coming week is a good one, Lola.

I sure hope this second surgery goes well too and resolves all the issues so she can start recovering from these surgeries. It was nice to catch to up with my sibling and hear how they were doing.

  3. It’s great that you got time with your sibling and that your Mom is getting treatment. You are welcome to join our Discord Chats on the Guild Codex as well. I don’t know if the timing would work for you though. It’s 3pm New York time. About 45 minutes from when I am posting this comment.

I didn’t realize you were doing Discord chats as well for the Guild Codex ones, that’s fun. I might see if I can join one of the later ones, the timing will be a bit late I think, but might be doable. Where can I find the information about the discord server and chats?
