sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

Last Sunday we went to visit my mom in the hospital, it was good to see her, as well as tough to see her in the hospital. This week she got moved to another hospital and received her first treatment for the cancer which went well so far, but she has to stay in the hospital for now.

It also was my birthday this week and we had a nice quiet day at home and then the day afterwards we went to a dino expo nearby, so that was a fun two days. The dino expo we visited was very close by and it was pretty cool with some dinosaur animatronics. We thought they could’ve done some things to make the experience even cooler and the sound was pretty loud sadly.

We continued to work on some smaller things in the new house and got some of those done. I struggled a lot with low energy levels and not wanting to do anything this week, so that was a bit tough. And then later in the week I got my period migraine, which was pretty severe this time. So that was a few days of lots of pain and not doing much.

I am also experiencing an issue with my website going down at times, but haven’t really had any energy to look into it.

What did I read this week?

  1. I’m glad you got a few things done in settling in and had a chance to go to the expo. Hopefully with some rest, next week will go more smoothly. I had a hectic August and am looking forward to some lazy days I usually get in the heat of August but it didn’t happen this year.

    • I hope this week can have a good balance between relaxing and getting some things done. I hope you can get some of those lazy days this September after your hectic August.

    • Thanks, it was a good birthday. Thanks for well wishes for my mom. Sorry to hear you just had a migraine too, mine was one of the worse ones I’ve had in a while unfortunately. I also have been sleeping a lot.

    • I am glad we visited the dino expo, that was fun to see. I am glad my mom is more settled in the hospital, but it’s sad that she has to stay there for now.
