The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
I drafted this post in advance as we’re moving this weekend. I don’t even know if I can link up this post, but we’ll see.
This was another very stressful week of preparing to move. More things went wrong and at this point I am still not sure if the house will be fully painted before we move. The packing is super stressful these last few bits, but I hope I can get everything packed in time. My boyfriend managed to cut himself while working at the new house and had to get a tetanus shot and then had to be a bit careful with the wound.
At the point I am writing this on Tuesday we still haven’t heard back from the guy who would contact us about when the kitchen would get placed, that kitchen needs to get replaced before we move as it will be even more of a hassle if not. So that stresses me out and I am so annoyed about the lack of communication. I called multiple times, messaged and I just get no reply ever since last Thursday when they cancelled that date. I ever called the company from whom we rent the new house and they said they would call the company and tell them to call me for the kitchen.
We also got the bad news that my mom has likely cancer. There will be another test so they can confirm it and where it’s coming from and later this month we know more. So that was really tough hearing that.
What did I read this week?

Moving is always stressful and so is renovating a house. Two years ago we bought a house and renovated it before the move, but of course stuff happens and it wasn’t ready by the time we needed to move out, so I get your frustration and stress. We just have to make do and change our plans. I hope you can take care of yourself and get a good book in that will help you deal. I’m sorry to hear about your mom. I hope it can be cured and isn’t to serious.
I agree moving and renovating is stressful. I am not so good with going with the flow and changes in plans, but we sure had to do that a lot during this whole process.
I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. Moving is always such a hassle. I hope it goes smoothly.
The move did not go smoothly, but it is done now. It was tough to get the news about my mom’s health.
Wow, that company really doesn’t want your business! I’ve been having a roofing company and later a sewer company not return my calls, either. I don’t get it. Hopefully, you got that call finally and your kitchen could get worked on. Hope your boyfriend’s hand heals up and he gets more use in his hand, poor guy.
Wishing things go well with your mom’s final tests and the cancer can be dealt with. Always tough!
Take care, Lola!
Due to how the whole thing works it’s not us who can decide who does this type of work, but the company from whom we rent. We will put in a complaint to them so they know this company didn’t handle things well. The wound on my boyfriend’s hand was quite in the way for a few days until it healed enough.
I hope the test shed more light on the situation and we know soon what they can do.
So sorry to hear about your mom’s news. I had some rough realizations on our trip as well about my mom’s health. The last packing bit is always the hardest I think. I hope everything has worked out enough that you can get into your new house and things go well. Can’t wait to hear all about it!

Sorry to hear you got some rough realizations about your mom’s health as well. The last bit of packing was so rough, way harder than the rest as suddenly everything still had to find a place and I even ran out of boxes and just threw some things in trash bags at the end.
