The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This week was a stressful one. I got some stuff done, but there were also all these little things popping up and going wrong. Like I dropped the meat for my boyfriend as part of dinner on the floor, luckily I had a back-up option. Then there was a taxes bill that came in and I realized I had made a mistake with the budgeting for it and didn’t have enough saved up, we could still pay it, but it sure was stressful and made me feel bad. I redid the calculations for next year so it won’t happen again.
I also struggled with shoulder pain early in the week, I think I overdid it and then slept on it badly and it took a few days to get better. I got a pretty severe headache to accompany it and didn’t feel well. My boyfriend was feeling a bit off as well and had some concerning symptoms pop up, so that worried me. Then my boyfriend had to get his blood taken to see if they can figure out why he wasn’t feeling well. He’s doing a bit better now.
Somehow I still got a bit of work done. I made progress on the prooflistening I am working on and have more than half done, still plenty to do. I did some other assistant work as well, mostly preparing some newsletters and blog posts.
What did I read this week?
This week I blogged about:
– Review: File M for Murder by Miranda James
– Review: The City Without End by Kelly Jensen
– Review: Poisoned Primrose by Dahlia Donovan
– Lola’s Ramblings: How do I decide to get an Audiobook?
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: Practical Rules for Cursed Witches by Kayla Cottingham
– Review: Deckles and Death by A.C.F. Bookens
– Review: Dating and Dragons by Kristy Boyce
– Review: Waiting for Psamathe by Laura Greenwood
I’m sorry it was a rougher week. I hope you both feel much better this week ahead.
Thanks! I hope so too.
Taxes can be so confusing at times. I’ve always done my own and I used to do my late husband’s too. My daughter does hers through an online site where she can do it for free. The tax laws seem to change here every year so I never know what is or isn’t allowed anymore and the tax places want to charge upwards of $100 to do them for you. I hope you have a better week next week.
These were not that type of taxes that I do each year, these are taxes we pay based on were we live for the water cleaning and waste processing. I am not sure if I explain it correctly and whether this is something you have in the US as well.
I just did my taxes for 2024 this week and I agree with how confusing it is, I know how to do it mostly, but don’t really understand all the ins and outs, which gets confusing. And indeed the laws seem to change here every year as well for them.
Pain of any kind can affect your whole body. I hope you are feeling better soon. I am getting ready to do my taxes this weekend. The business stuff is all ready, I just have to fill out everything.
Definitely, pain can really do a number on your whole. Good luck with your taxes I did mine this week.
Sometimes it feels like all the little things come at once! I am trying to work on planning my budget so those taxes don’t pop up and make me have to cut it close every year as well. Hope your week is going better!

This really was one of those weeks with little and bigger things not going alright. I hope I have my planning correctly now that this won’t a problem next year again.
