sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This was a bit of a mixed week. I started out with low energy levels and low mood at times as well. The weather was kinda gloomy again too. Then I had some moments with more energy which were nice and I got some things done, but not everything I had hoped to do. Then my period migraine hit later in the week, so I didn’t feel too good, especially the brain fog was a struggle.

I continued with the proof listening I was doing and am making good progress, not sure if I can finish it by the end of this month as I had hoped tough. I made more changes on the omnibus formatting for another author and this one has been quite the project, only a few more changes to go. I felt a bit bad I couldn’t finish it before my migraine hit, but I ran out of time and energy.

Reading wise it was a bit of a struggle as well, with a bunch of 3 star books and not quite finding the book I wanted. I did finish one really good book I was reading for a while (Dating and Dragons) and then picked up a short audio on a whim which turned out really good (The Nameless Restaurant). And a new discussion post went live about reading multiple editions of the same book. I would love to hear your thoughts on that topic!

What did I read this week?

I still need to read Dungeons and Drama, so then I can read this one too! Sorry to hear you’re still having that migraine issue. I love hearing about your formatting the books for authors! I wish I knew how to do that, as I’d love to help authors in that way too. Of course I also keep thinking about how to finish or change two of the novels I’ve started and come close to finishing, so who knows if I’ll ever do that either. Hope you have a good week.

    • I look forward to hearing your thoughts on Dungeons and Drama! The migraine issues is an ongoing thing sadly, it always occurs when I have my period and then sometimes outside of it.

The formatting is a lot of fun, let me know if you ever want to know more. I would be happy to tell you what I know and how I do the formatting. There are some good formatting software programs out there that make it easier, that’s what I use as well.

I hope you get to finish and edit those two novels you started 🙂

    • I really liked this first one and plan to get the rest of that Tao Wong series as well. I buddy read this Veronica Scott book with Sophia as we both like those books.

  2. Goodness, I sure hope the challenges of last week will stay in last week! I know, intimately, the pain of migraines and the fog that follows them, so I truly hope you’ve moved past both of them. May this week already be going smoother for you!

  3. I’m so sorry to hear that once again, you’ve been wiped out by a migraine. Not only is it miserable to go through, it always leaves you exhausted afterwards:(. I hope the coming week is a better one, Lola.
